I go to a really preppy, monotonous college unfortunately, so none of the guys play the same kind of games that I do, and only a few of the girls do. Ok I lied, there are a few guys, but I think actually the girls who play RPGs here outnumber the guys that do.

Back in high school, very few of my girl friends played video games. Pretty much all of my guy friends were hard core gamers though. Most of the guys knew that I liked video games, and never gave me a problem about it. Hell, sometimes we could even have indepth conversations about certain games. It was neat. 3nodding

Yeah, I have to say I know more about games than my classmates, but I do find it a little bit shocking. It's a master's degree...about making video games.... You'd think some of these people would have a more active knowledge about just basics really of some of the current and not so current games in the industry. It's kinda frightening sometimes.
Sometimes the professor and I have to have our own little conversation because no one has heard of say, Quest for Glory or Okami. Sigh.

I don't exactly know "more" than the guys at my school videogame-wise. Then again, my school has a population of more than 35,000 people...
...but I will say that it is nice to be able to have a decent conversation with a guy about the art of questing for EVERYTHING in an RPG. We teach each other things...most girls that I encounter just don't understand.
Most of the time, the guys are astonished to come across a chick that plays videgames let alone talks about them on a regular basis...
