Oh heck yeah, you've gotta get some Mega Man time in! New Mexico, huh? A lot hotter there than it is in Ohio.

Bleh, I already work with a bunch of girls on the maternity ward, but they're either bitchy, married, or both. Yeah, they love to man-hate and complain about significant others. Still, maybe you're right... maybe one day I'll land a really sweet job.

I think you took a good route too. I don't believe I know of any gals in that field. Yes yes! Let me know how you liked Dragon Quest once you've finished playing one!

Dayton is such a pain in the a**! It really isn't that small, but it is one big street. It doesn't stretch on forever like High Street in Columbus, instead it splits off all over the place. What is particularly annoying about downtown Dayton is if you must a turn you're F'd. Seems like every place you turn is a one way street, so good luck if you get lost. If you ever make it over there again you should check out the Dublin Pub as they have quite an interesting menu. If I'm there though it's usually because my friends want to go to Hammerjax.

Yeah! Play the games on Nester and tell me how you like them, but start with the original. HOLY GOD! I freakin LOVE Mega Man! I remember the first time I ever played one of those games. I went to the video store when I was six and I saw the box for Mega Man IV and I was like "Whoa". So yeah, I rented it and my gaming experience on the NES was never the same. The first boss I ever took on was Skull Man, and to an MM novice he was no easy kill. I had to go gather two of the E tanks just to take him down! Ah good times...

Thinkgeek also recently released the Pocket Retro Emulator so you can load games onto a handheld that kinda looks like the bottom of a DS lite. It only has 4G of storage space though. Unfortunately the only USB controller they make at the moment is for the NES. Any knockoff SNES controller I've ever purchased have been absolute junk. Oh well, shouldn't be long till they release a good one.

What other classes are you taking? Sorry to hear you're giving up Japanese. It would be so cool to speak it fluently!

Um, I'm kinda going for my RN. I know that probably sounds kinda silly, but I love the medical field and male nurses make quite a bit of money as they are in high demand. Though I don't want to be a nurse forever... my long term goal is to get my masters in Psychology so I can better understand human behavior. It's always interested me.

P.S. It's good that you have some experience in the field of ancient RPGs. That way you'll be able to appreciate the old dragon quest games. And yes, I'm also a big fan of the FF games, but Dragon Quest was my first love so... yeah. I've played and beat most of the FF games, but I don't do the whole XI thing because of it's multi-player sacrilege. It just doesn't seem like an in depth FF title to me. But yeah, you should definitely play them all!

The only thing he and I have to look forward to now is turning 25. Lower insurance rates smile ) I love Beavercreek, it's so clean! Too bad it's right next to dirty Dayton and it's horrid crime rate. I only go there to hang out at some of the clubs and the Dublin pub. I have a weakness for good Irish whiskey. Lot's of frightening hobos running around though...

Not familiar with Dragon Quest?! Holy God! You need to open up an NES emulator (A good one like NESTER) and download Dragon Quest (Or Dragon Warrior as it was known in the U.S.) I-IV right now and play! I actually ordered a USB NES controller from Thinkgeek.com just so I could get that whole old school feel when I play those games. no way! The two words I have to enter to submit this comment to you are 'of zenith' and Zenith is a big theme in those games! That must be a sign, (no joke) so you really need to play them. Or Hell, if you have a DS (and you should) you can purchase the Dragon Quest IV and V remakes. Make the nerd population proud!

Hmm.. don't sweat the whole Japanese thing. I took four years of Spanish in HS, and I hardly know enough to get by. Seems like you probably know enough to hang out in Japan for a while and not sound completely ignorant. I guess you should just keep with it and use it in everyday conversation and you'll be fine. If only I had done that for Spanish I'd probably be speaking it fluently today. Ah well, no use living in the past.

Now go play some ancient nerdy RPGs!

How interesting... I'd like to say that there's a chance I know him, but I'm from a very different part of Ohio originally. Also, I graduated in '05 so I assume he skipped a grade or is just about to turn 23. Huber Heights is quite close to where I live now. Do you know of Beavercreek?

I actually have never used Slime Forest.. I was just being a smart-a** with the whole Dragon Quest reference. Are you quite fluent in Japanese?

I would do, but Wright State is much more convenient since it's just down the road. I do have a job, but it sucks and I want nothing more to do with it.

P.S. what could possibly be wrong with something called "Slime forest"? I love slimes!
