It had only been six months, and yet as Anthony Kuyuki sat at his still somewhat new desk in his, to him, new office, his thoughts were far from still...
Six months...
------------------------------------------
Six months ago von Letum Barklight left to go back to Krynn, leaving me, then second-in-command, in charge of the Dead Strike Corps. in his place. He has yet to return, and it's been about four months since we had any word from Old Barker... Which has everyone on edge... Since that wasn't like him... von Letum Barklight checked in with DSC HQ every 24 hours like clockwork to report his status and get his copy of the lastest Departmental reports... Four months ago, he simply stopped calling... Since the Counter-Intelligence Department has a section within it in charge of Stealth Infiltration and Foreign Intelligence Gathering a team was sent to Krynn, but even after all this time... Nothing... Misericordianeo... well... let's just say she wasn't too happy to hear that he was MIA.... This has never been confirmed but it always seemed like those to were more then just very good friends....
------------------------------------------
Kuyuki closed his journal and rubbed his eyes for a moment before tucking both his journal and pen back into his pockets... and leaned back in his chair, with his arms crossed and his eyes closed.

Missery barged into Kuyuki's Office...
To find him sleeping at his desk.
She walked up, banged hard on the desk and in place of a greeting simply said, "have you found him yet question "

Kuyuki didn't look up or open his eyes at her actions... It was the same thing she did everyday; barge right in unannounced, and echo the same question she asked the day before.
"No, we have not, and good morning to you to Missery..."

"Oh, right, morning... Well.. I'm off," she turned around and started walking back out without so much a goodbye.

Kuyuki sighed at her behaviour, in private, when it was just the two of them, she never seemed to be able to follow procedures... Get her in front of others however.. and she was a model soldier...
Without opening his eyes he simply said, "bye," as she walked out the door.

= Continued from the Recruitment Outpost =link to last post in the Recruitment OutpostKuyuki slowly walked back into his office, the orderly with the wheelchair still following... Ever since the main doctor here at the DSC heard of what had happened, he had a right fit he did. First it was a complaint that he wasn't called on when his CO had been shot. Then it was over them allowing a still injured man to walk out of the Infirmary. Next it was with the pilot of the plane for not flying more steadily (some minor trouble had opened up a wound in flight and Kuyuki's bandages had to be changed) ... one thing after another.. and since a Doctor's orders can override any rank, he's "ordered" Kuyuki to take it "easy" for a few weeks and assigned an orderly and a wheelchair to him..
He sat down at his desk and looked gravely at the awaiting paperwork..
He sighed to himself, "its going to be one of those days..." he said under his breath.
"Did you say something sir?" asked the orderly.
Looking up again, he noted that the orderly was still here, "no, nothing, you may leave."
The orderly just nodded, "very well sir, call if you need anything." He turned, and leaving the wheelchair a corner of the room, left.
Kuyuki just waited until the double doors closed before answering, "call.. right, not likely" to himself before starting in on his paperwork.

Missy ran up to Kuyuki's door and just burst in, ignoring the orderly she just knocked down in process.
Composing herself for a minute she calmly walk up to his desk.
"So your OK. . ." she said with somewhat of a smile on her face, even though her eyes where already starting to water up again. One had but to look at her face and one could tell that she's basicly been crying a whole lot lately . . .

He just stares at her for a few seconds, his brow raised at her reaction.
"Oh, not you too," he said in monotone, "I'm perfectly fine ok, see?"
He pointed to the wheelchair beside his desk, "you can take that back."
He returned to the mountain of work in front of him.
