I was reading volume 7 on the bus today and someone gave me a confused look because L was upside down and the fact you read from right to left in all mangas.(I was reading it in order to keep my memory refreshed.)
Anyways I think Light deserves to die, compared to when he lost his memories I thought he was better off without the Death Note.
He also killed Santa.(even though it was an accident)
