Though I find it kind of silly that we would be so worried about spies. But just to get it out of the way...

*coughs* I am not, nor have ever been, a spy who watches my fellow posters.

*mumbles* now, spying in Commerce roleplaying is another story blaugh

I support the idea of some kind of entrance requirement....I know that isn't originally what Razak wanted, but we do have quite the issue with mules and so on. Kazuma, what say you?

If you all as a guild would like to have one I would support it. I have no complaints and I think it could be a positve thing. I would be curious to see what sort of suggestions and ideas the members of the guild have to formulating one.

This will probably not eliminate the mule problem though. They will simply write more elaborate join requests to get in. Nor will it get rid of the ones that are already here. I think the issue of mules in the guild is just something we are going to have to learn to live with.

I agree...it would not resolve our existing mules. But it would get folks thinking about their reasons for joining. Could be interesting...

I think so too. I would like to see people joining develop a little more why they are conservative, Republican, capitalist, right-leaning, ect.

I don't think Patton would have a problem either.

I don't think I would want to apply this potential join requirement ex post facto though. I don't think it is really fair to have members who have been here for a good long while suddenly have to take a test to stay.

Although if current members would like to expand on why their political beliefs are the way they are, I would certainly encourage a thread where members can share.

Hmm, that's a good idea. Just like Bolthormann's thread on ED-P regular's political views.

However, I am also concerned that this may reduce our flagging member ship. I only see a fraction of the people who used to post regularly here.

I do feel strongly that the persistent incidents of posts being pulled out of context is contributing greatly to our lack of activity within the guild, and our flagging membership...

which is why I ask that abusive, harmful posts be deleted, and a credible team of moderators (possibly a larger one) be formed to weed out these posts that would discredit the guild.
