so this is a prime example of out of work actors hitting broadway?

No, it's Disney's "projects" now becoming "Broadway people" in a probably bad remake

I heard somewhere that Haylie Duff was playing on of the VonTussle sisters on Broadway D;

WHY, DISNEY, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR HORRIBLE ACTORS ON BROADWAY?

Five bucks says she just bought her way in or they took her just cause Disney said so

I don't think that Disney is involved with Hairspray, either on Broadway or on screen.

Wow this movie is a mess..
Zac Efron was dubbed so I think it's a publicity stunt. I guess it helps that I'm not a big Hairspray.

You CAN'T judge a book by it's cover. Just because actors are "Disney" actors, DOESN'T mean they are going to be terrible by default. Not all Disney actor are horrible. It's the material they are given to work with.

My friend saw Hayle Duff in Hairspray on Broadway and said she was the best Amber she's seen it in out of the three times she's seen the show.

I say don't make such harsh judgements on it so soon. If you go into it hating it, even if it's good you're not gonna like it.

I just vomited in my mouth a little. John Travolta in drag has got to be the scariest image I've seen since the time I dissected a pig and photographed it. Tracy looks great, I agree. But that's soooooooooooooooo creepy. I'll still see it, and might like it. Just... ugh.

He's currently playing Billy Flynn in Broadway's "Chicago".

He's supposed to be quite good.

Actually, he's supposed to be quite bad. The New York Times article title about him reads "Genial Pop Idol Plays Legal Shark Without Teeth." It says that he sings it well and dances it well, but is a horrible actor, which is what I expected.

I must've read a different review. I can't say I'm a big fan, so it was a pleasant surprise to read that he was good at all.
