I'm a lvl 75 rdm and I believe that we are loved... just not well respected. We are <3ed because we are refresh whores and support the party... but if we mess up or have a somewhat delayed refresh cycle by like 2 seconds.. people flip and yell at rdms. Usually if something goes wrong, as if the pt/alliance wipes somehow... they point fingers at rdms... most definately.

Except it seems to be the same with most mage classes. On whm during a rumah fight, barthunder was up the entire time...then the 2hr came, and one of the people died. Even with barthunder. Dous he blame it on bad luck? NO! He blames me for not having barthunder up. 20 seconds after we win and I'm healing to get mp to r3 him, barthunder wears. Yet the entire time, no one said a word at all. It really pisses me off. Oh, and in sky on rdm, I get blamed if suzy isn't stunned...hello....I'm in the whm pt atm, I'm gonna be stunning the next suzy. (there's 3 rdm/drks in the ls, we swap between the healer pts and the main alliance if we're doing more than 1 suzy in a row) Its not fun being blamed for others mistakes, no matter the job.

Oh... and we get yelled at if we forget to haste someone... or forget it for like 1 min lol
I understand the importance of haste, especially dealing with a ninja or a tank, but melee? ffs you can calm down now >.< lol

I'm on Lakshmi and the general view of RDM is "Mainhealer". I don't have a problem being a main healer because I don't want to sit back and do s**t but cure, I have a problem with main healing because I make my money to play my game in a medical field. sad I play games to relax and take my mind off the s**t I go through at work. My BLM is my highest level and I'm trying to get some with my RDM, but alas... All they want RDM for is a white mage with a funny hat. Hell, every time I try to pull out a weapon in a party, I get chewed out. Makes the En spells completely worthless. stressed

If its a small camp and you're struggling that's understandable but in that case plllllllease at least cast ballad between battles when I'm trying to rest ;_;

Red mages are loved, because rdm, in all seriousness gets alot of capabiltys, can they solo? yes, can they cure? yes, can the refresh? yes. RDM after 40 can get some seriously quick invite, unlike most mage jobs, there invites dont die out as they get higher lvl.

XD I recently got a merit static for whm. RDM, WHM, samX3, and a NIN Exp is rolling in. Good thing is, while the others arn't on, I can exp blm, brd, or rdm while they arn't on because multiple 75 jobs rule. And it's just merits so no need for keeping our exp concistant.

I started as a whm and my boyfriend started as rdm. For awhile we each did our own thing till we realized 'hey, we make a good team in a party cause I don't have to take the time to type "can you heal so and so while i buff?" in party chat' So now, we party together. It's very rare that you see us in seperate parties and we will decline invites if there is no room for the other.
Speaking of.. funny thing from a few days ago. Got a tell 'pt? can you help us?'. i was going to ignore it as first because I was doing something, but then my boyfriend looke dover at me and said 'you want to party? I just got an invite from so-and-so.' Same person. Apparently there was two spots empty. So I reply with a yes. A minute later, he gets a reply, ok you're in, meet us at __' Nothing over on my screen. So he asks, 'did you invite Kazeni like I said? I don't party without her' Question is ignore, instead we get the reply 'You can main heal right? cause we don't have a whm.' Now I'm puzzled by this, where is my invite? Turns out the retard spammed a party invite to EVERY mage in level range they were looking for and invited whoever replied first. His party ended up with a nin, sam, mnk, rdm, rdm, blm. Now how does that make sense? Go for an extra rdm when you could have had a rdm and a whm?
Anyways, we didn't go to that party.
I love my rdm though, he keeps people from dying when I can't cure fast enough and i keep him from dying when he does Convert.
