Amalthea nodded at Yeande, and stopped herself from babbling out another stream of apologies. To save face, she dipped down into the sink and hovered above Shalafi. "Here, take my hand, I'll pull you out," she said, hefting the gemstone bag to her left hip and holding out her right hand to Shalafi, touching him lightly on the shoulder to let him know where she was.

Smiling, he grabbed her hand and let her help him up. He certainly couldn't be in any worse straits than he was now. Once he was up out of the drain, he shook his wings out fully, leaving a few feathers drifting down. "Thank you," he whispered softly, blushing as he regained what little was left of his composure. "Yeande's not so bad, she just tends to intimidate people by mistake."
Chuckling, Yeande let her arms cross over her chest as she watched the pair. "Just be careful, you two. I don't want to have to explain to Youko why there's a feien stuck in the drain."

With Shalafi out of the sink, Amalthea peered at Yeande again. "How'd you do that?" she asked, bluntly. "Become one with the gemstone, I mean. Um, please." She looked over at Shalafi, realizing how little she actually knew. She didn't know how to use her own magic, or anything about Rakuen, really... and that realization was VERY ANNOYING. Her wings buzzed for a moment before she landed on the countertop and folded them to her back.

One brow lifted as the older feien thought for a moment. "Well, it was painful, to start. VERY painful. But it was worth it in the end and it didn't last long. I held th e gemstone close to my chest while Julius, one of the elders, cast the spell to merge us. It's not something that can be just done by mistake by holding it. Other than that, I'm not sure just how the process works." Yeande was more than happy to give what information she could.

"Julius? Who is Julius? Where can I find him?" Amal's wings vibrated with excitement. Even if it hurt - she could be with Rakuen forever, close as could be, right inside her head all the time! Then she wouldn't get weird looks for talking to the gemstone.

Ahhh... so THAT was why this one was so curious. "Do you know where the shop is, Amalthea?" she asked, tilting her head to the side slightly as if waiting for confirmation.
"If you go there, you don't have to go inside." Yeande felt the need to state that. This one seemed just about as willing to be around crowds as she did. "You fly around to the back and you'll see a circle of stones on the ground. Go into that circle and it's a portal that will take you to the home of Em and the summoner feien. Go underneath the porch... it's safe under there. Then simply say Julius' name and state why you have come. He'll hear you, regardless of how softly you speak. When he arrives, show him the stone and let him know that you would like to merge with it. He'll be able to do the rest."

"Oh. Um... okay. Thank you." Amalthea nodded to Yeande, then quickly flitted back towards Shalafi. That was interesting...
... she'd missed so much, being so scared of the sun...
"I want to go home," she told Shalafi abruptly. "I want to think."

He started to object, then simply nodded with a smile. "I understand," he said. After all, he often just needed time to himself after finding out something that was (to him) earth-shattering. "Will you come back to visit at least?"

Amalthea paused. "Um. I guess so. Or you could come visit me. Maybe. Hey, maybe with both of us we could freeze Kree... shi's annoying... that'd show hir. Hmph."
She quickly made sure all of her things were in her bag, then tapped Shalafi on the shoulder. "I'm going to go fly over and tell my human that I want to go, okay?" Her wings buzzed as she hopped into the air, homing in on Sosiqui almost instinctively.
"YAH!" Sosiqui jumped, sloshing some juice out of her glass, as Amalthea delivered a swift kick to her left ear. "What? Who? Oh." She sighed and held up one hand for the Feien to land on, giving Youko an apologetic look. "Sorry about the mess."
"I want to go home."
Sosiqui raised one eyebrow.
".... please," Amal groused.

Youko lifted a brow at the demand, then remembered Yeande as a child and just chalked it up to them being feien. "You're more than welcome anytime, Sosi," he said, grinning as he moved to get up. "Don't worry about the mess. I've gotten worse than that around here."
Shalafi came up to land on Sosi's shoulder as well. "I'll see about coming over to visit, most definately. Thank you for coming to see me, Amalthea."
