I think he died....cause' if they were divorced her mom wouldn't that be happy to tell Kagome about their proposal

Maybe Kagome's dad wasn't mentioned in InuYasha because that would mess up everything between Kagome and InuYasha, not being able to go to the Fuedal Era, concentrating on just school work when she has a whole other side of her life that she has to take care of, have to ignore the fact. Ya'll know how dads are. sweatdrop

In one of the movies Kagome's mom said that ever sence the accident there family has become closer! so im guessing he died and a crash after Sota was born!
