I went through the longest time of just complete and utter confusion. I WANTED to be straight, and any inclination or suggestion to anything otherwise, all the way back in elementary school, scared the s**t out of me. I was always picked on, and didn't want people to have another reason to pick on me, because in 4th and 5th grade I had a major crush on one of my good (female) friends. It was the same way in middle school, so in my first year, I asked out like 5 guys, as a result of one of my friends freaking on me and stopping talking to me because she thought I was a lesbian. The next year I gravatated towards the crowd that I still hang with now. Alissa (bi) Kitty (my g/f) Katie (straight, but all for gay rites) Ashley (straight as well), among other people. Alissa was just WAITING for me to come out, and everyone she knew that I didn't somehow knew who I was as "that queer chick"....when I finally did in 9th grade, people were all like "finally!!" I had identified as completly lesbian for the longest time, until I totally fell for this one guy. It put me in another state of confusion, but eventually we ended up going out. Since then I've liked about three guys, and like a crapload of chicks. I've been dating my current g/f (kinda on and off at one point in time) for a year and a half. I still identify as mostly lesbian, cuz, I am....but, there will sometimes come along a guy that I like, so it would be bi. I think that we are who we are. Love is love, no matter what, and it doesn't recignize gender as it doesn't recignize, or eye color or hair color.... We are all somewhat bi, if you think on it. I mean, you haven't met absolutly everyone in the world to be able to say otherwise, and sometimes it just requires that one special person.....like I kinda was with my g/f. She didn't realize she liked girls till she fell for me. Society as a whole is more accepting of it now, so people are finding it and accepting it in themselves more. That's what I think.
