Lorina thought over the game, before she got distracted by an ant hill a few feet ahead of her. "Nope.. Don't believe I've heard of that game before.." Her voice seemed as distracted as she was, watching the ants scuring about their little hill. She giggled absentmindedly, watching a pair carying back a large crumb from something that looked like an old chocolate bar.
Once the pair had passed the ants, she glanced back at Erol, noticing he had said something. She looked ahead, a bit of a confused look in her eyes as she dug into her mind, attempting to figure out what he had said when she hadn't been paying attention. "Yeah! Shoppings cool."
Lorina inwardly prided herself with being able to keep calm about rambling on about shopping. No boy had asked her such a question before. She turned her curious eyes from the road ahead to the boy. "Why?"

Erol noted her slight flightiness... was she even listening? Damn an airhead. He couldn't be sure but when she replied to his question he put a tight hold on his wayward thoughts. Okay so she probably wasn't flighty just easily distracted. He could relate...
"No reason really, just figured girls were into that sorta thing." He mumbled chewing on his bottom lip. He kicked at a rock which incidentally hit the ant hill Lorina was looking at previously. A smirk came to his lips at this as he began kicking at the ants disturbing their home altogether. Soon the ant hill was completely destroyed.

"Oh.. I see." Lorina tilted her head in an attempt to get a better look at Erol's face to see if she could tell whether or not he was telling the truth or not. When he kicked the rock, harming the ants, her features turned from immense curiosity to shock.
Lorina watched him destory the ant hill, and pushed a finger into her mouth, bearing a very childish expression. Slowly, she moved forward, and grabbed the rock from the hill, tossing it aside. As she raised herself back to her feet, she peered at Erol with intention in her eyes. "Why did you do that?"
It was obvious the attack on the ants had seemed some what of a personal attack on Lorina. For someone who coudl become the same size as the small insects, it had surprised her to an unspeakable amount.

"Hm?" Erol looked to Lorina watching her try to restore the ant hill. He didn't understand why she would bother. Didn't she know ants were rather resourceful, that they could rebuild within weeks, days even and it took more than a rock to stop them.
At her question he strugged. "I felt like it." He said simply turning brown eyes to her. "If you do research you'd know that ants can't die from conventional means. I could pour water in their hill and they'd survive for a full month. I could set them on fire and while a few would die, the survivors would eat the bodies of the dead to continue their colony." Erol resorted to kneeling in front of the ant hill, undigging what he destoryed. And sure enough the ants were fine skuttling about to began their work anew. "See." he said and stood to his feet whistling lightly. "Why does it bother you that I destroyed there hill? You an ant lover or something...nature girl?" Oh great one of those.

Lorina watched the ants a moment longer before getting back to her feet, arms crossed over her chest. Ants weren't something she had ever researched. A discusted expression came to her face as he made the comment about the ants eating each other. "Whatever." she said, the began moving forward again.
"I'm not a 'nature girl' or whatever. I was just a bit surprised that someone could attack so easily. I mean, honestly, we are supposed to be the people protecting the innocent. " Lorina gave him a long look with her green eyes, then pointed ahead. "We turn the corner there, and it's just another couple of blocks before my house."

Erol looked side long at Lorina stuffing his hands in his pocket. He didn't understand her issue with the subject but perhaps she valued life to all creatures. A girl with set standards and morals... He sighed thinking it over a bit. He had no problem with morals or standards but he felt they had no place in the field of battle. Sometimes the right thing to do just outweighted what was morally correct.
"Then tell me Lori..." He began walking past her for a second and stopping in front of her to make her stop walking. "If we are suppose to protect the innocent how do you explain protecting animals over humans? I mean if you were in a situation that required the protection of a particular animal that could cure all kinds of dieases and yet something was going on around you that would put more than tens of thousands of people in danger what would you do? Attentend to the matter that could save those people or protect the animal you were assigned that could cure diease and save just as many people?" Erol was quite a quizzical boy, he liked to throw ideas out there. As wild and far fetched as they may be he could only think of the possibilities.
"In theory mind you...what would you do?" He pushed gazing without much expression on his face for an answer. Quite curious was he...

Lorina's clenched fists shot to her chest as Erol suddenly brought her mind back to himself. They were held there, until she blinked a couple seconds after, and lowered them to her side, holding them as if she were suddenly uncomfortable in public. She took a step back, opening her mouth at the end of his first question, though puased, slowly closing it, as he continued the scenario.
"Would I be able to save both? Could I take the creature with me when I went to save the people? I mean, an animal so priceless must have been able to protect it's self all these years, so I should be able to complete tasks, yes? There has to be a way to keep both the people and the animal safe. "
Lorina paused, realizing he most likely would not accept this for an answer, and fidgeted a bit, attempting to figure out a conclusion that would work for him. She rose herself on her heels, gazing over his shoulder for a moment, before back to his brown eyes. "I guess, if I couldn't do that, I would sae the animal. In the end, saving the animal would keep more people alive."

He did frown at her first solution, finding most people using this method as an easy means to an end. Of course take the animal with you! His mind screamed and see how many people you can save by shrinking or escalating in size with said animal. If you concentrate too much on the people you lose sight of protecting the animal and fail. But then if you focus too much on the animal you lose sight of the people again you fail. And trying to focus between the two is an obvious miss... in his mind every solution was a means to an end. All solutions had their moral backings but they were just that...morals. Nothing was wrong or right in this world, nothing at all.
Erol nodded when she made a more pleasing answer to his questions. Turning away from her he walked causually away, slowly enough to allow her to lead him to their destination. "Lorina. While I do admire your need to protect, I have to warn you. Sometimes you'll be forced to do what is need rather than what is right. If you can't live with yourself after the outcome I suggest you don't continue training in this field. Talk to Charles or your guardian, back out now before things get too over your head." He whispered, he could tell Lorina was a good girl, but she was quite strong as well he knew that too. He just didn't think he could take watching someone with admirable qualities change from battle. He had read many books on the subject and the end result was never pleasant. Even he himself were having doubts about their futures.
"Come on lets get you home. I got some chores to do before our little get together tonight." He said trying to distract from the earlier subject. Somehow it made him uneasy and yet intrigued.

Lorina moved to match his step. Even if he had been rude a moment before, she decided it was better to walk with him then just speed off like some hurt puppy. She hadn't expected of course, that he would start acting like some mature idiot. Looked at him out of the corner of her eye as he explained to her how she should just quit if she were going to be a wimp or if things get to "difficult" for her. Lorina looked away, crossing her arms over her chest. She wasn't some petty girl who needed boys to protect her. Heh. She could grow twice as tall and twice as powerful as any male out there.
Suddenly he spoke again, in what seemed to be a more kind tone then before. She looked back to him and nodded quietly. Taking the bend in the corner, she looked down the street to see that horrid apartment building near the end. It wasn't really that bad. After eleven years in a mansion, though. She shook her head, wondering why she was reminiscing about her past now, of all time. Flicking her thumb towards the building she said, sarcastically at best, "That's my wonderful home."
After taking a couple more steps, she realized something else. "So, are you just going to take the bus home now? Or are you going to get your mom to come pick you up?" She almost offered him her own cell phone, before remembering that he had one of his own. After all, he gave her his cell phone number first. Her thumb brushed against the bottom of her pocket, and she stopped across the street from the apartment complex. Running her eyes over the window which would lead one to see into her living room, she noted the blinds were shut. Airaka had to be busy out somewhere. Work, most likely. She looked back to Erol, waiting for an answer.

Erol sighed looking off into the distance. "I'm just gonna walk home, it will give me time to pick up a few things at the store. I got your number so I'll call you when I get done with my chores." He said, the whole time looking down the street as if in deep thought.
Turning to look at Lorina again he let a slight smile come to his face. "Sorry if I upset you earlier... I sometimes forget manners." He offered before turning with a wave of his hands. Slipping his hands back in his pocket he walked off. "You better be ready when I call..." he called half laughing, half serious. How he hated waiting on people.
----time elaspe cause I'm impatient ---
After stopping by the store Erol returned home, to do his chores. Akila had stepped out for the evening probably to speak with Charles on a few matters. Whatever the case he didn't stick around to wait on her. Instead he hurried down the street to the bus stop. This time around he'd take the bus to Lorina's place, the walk back had been longer than he'd like. Pulling out his cell he dialed her number waiting for her to pick up...
