America...As in the States? Trust me, they have RCM there. Canada, the States, most of Europe, Asia. They have RCM.
Grade eight pieces..Well, they don't pick classics so I doubt you'll recognize a lot.
Repertoire:
1. (Baroque)Little Prelude in E- by Bach, Little Prelude in D+ byu Bach, Fantasia in D- by Telemann, INvention no.6 in E+ by Bach, Sonata in C- by Pescetti.
2. (Classical)Sonata in G+ by Haydn, Sonata in Bb+ by Cimarosa, Sonatina in G+, Sonata in G+ by Beethoven, Sonata in A+ by Kuhlau.
3. (Romantic) Puck by Grieg, An Important Event by Schumann. Song by Smetana, COnsolation by Liszt, Chanson Triste by Kalinnikov.
4. (20th Century)Evening at the Village by Bartok, Milonga del Angel by Piazzolla (gorgeous piece), Pink/Crimson by Starer, and the Gentle Waltz by Oscar Peterson.
There's studies but I'm tired of typing.
I think Fur Elise (the REAL version, all ten pages) is grade 9, if that helps.

Let's see now...I've played all of the stuff on #4, Shumann's piece in #3, don't remember what I did classical wise, and Little prelude in e- for #1.

Piano is my first instrument. I started playing when I was 4 after my mom showed me where middle C was and left me to it. I had "twinkle twinkle little star" worked out with left hand, and "here comes the bride" worked out by the end of the day, and it was clear that I was supposed to be a musician from then on.
Now, 17 years later, I write my own songs, and I play Ben Folds tunes when I'm bored, though I have to say Ben is most definitely my biggest influence by far, and I wouldn't be able to play half as good as I can now without his help.

My mother and I have always wanted to play the piano, but we still can't find a place that works with our budget... Now days I don't really have the time for it, so later on in life I'll probably take it on. Right now I just go off of what they teach of it in choir, which is just enough to plunk out parts. sad
