My old highschool (which music program is now dead) was pretty famous in the 70's. They'd travel across the country and take first at whatever they competed at. Kenny G was on eof the former members, that was back wehen he had chops. They had an inhouse arranger that wrote original pieces for them and they totally kicked a** at those songs.

When i was in the jazzband we got quite a few trophies at several jazz festivals on the West Coast.

Now its reduced to nothing...

rofl Kenny G... chops rofl ... erhm.. well, lets see. i´m in high school right now and we´re an arts school, so we´re pretty well-known in our city. our Latin Band and Big Band have good reputations. i´m in the Latin Band and we play different stuff almost every semester. our big tune this year was probably Dance City, which is very fun and a great soloing piece. i´m making a piece for the band right now, but my program broke down so i´ll have to fix it up. our Big Band´s signature tune this year was probably The Sound of Philadelphia or Count Bubba´s Revenge, and i wish i could´ve played with them.

Our jr. high was known throughout all of our City and much of Alberta, as our teacher wrote the aPro method. Every competition we entered, we placed first.
In high school though, we usually place around 1st or 2nd. We're know for butchering Moanin' crying
