"Sure, and dinner sounds great," he said, glad to have the subject changed from his own stupidity. He'd get a chance to spend more time with her, and he'd get to meet one of the kids. In a better situation than he had met the others at least, "Want my to bring anything?" What did kids like? Candy, cookies, sugar in general. But that'd probably be bad. Maybe some kind of toy, like those markers that only wrote on the special paper. Something like that would have saved his walls at least.

Her mind was have a party. Score! He would come over for dinner then. Oh dear, this would require planning. She'd actually have to clean out Gavin's room of toilet paper. And what would she cook? She sensed an impromptu grocery trip in the next few hours. The apartment needed cleaning too. Vaccuum ahoy! So much to do, so little time.
"Bring whatever you want," she shrugged, not exactly sure what he would bring. She smiled, "So what time should I expect you."
Clothes. She needed nicer clothes. Gah, this afternoon was going to be busy.

"Eight-ish?" He suggested, "Whatever's good for you really." It'd be good for him to be there early enough for the kid to still be awake, but not early enough that she would have to scramble. He'd need to find some somewhat formal clothes, collared shirt at least. Man he was bad at this. And now, he knew just what he was going to bring, and not just for the kid.

"Eight's perfect!" she agreed. That gave her quite a few hours to go to the grocery store and the mall. Food, clothes, cleaning. She'd also need to make sure Gavin would behave himself tonight.
So technically, this would be like...a date? Except they weren't going anywhere, but still. Two people, and food was invovled. In her mind, that counted as a date. When was the last time she'd been on one of those? Oh yeah, two years ago.
"Well, I should probably go get everything ready then," she smiled, creating a mental checklist of everything she would need. "I'll see you at eight then?"

"Right, see you at eight," He agreed, starting to walk back toward his building. He'd have to cut open a few boxes, tug out a few wrinkles, and get to the store. This would actually count as a date, right? Even if they weren't going anywhere. It'd been a while since he'd actually dated someone. Now the question was, did she think the same thing? Oh well, he wouldn't worry about things like that. It'd be what it was taken as.
