I love quite a few drum corps, but since The Cadets have stayed and practiced at my high school for a few days for the past two years right before Drums Along The Rockies, I have a soft spot for them.

I've only been to 3 DCI competitions, and they were all this year.
-The Cadets are "okay." I don't like the idea of a sequel, though, and all three times I saw the show it felt like they were just going through the movements without putting any real energy into it. The guard was awesome, though. Especially that one part where they "stage dive" off those tables. Everyone else in my band is completely rabid about them, but I felt just kinda "eh."
-The Crossmen I liked. I like the theme for their show, I like how it starts, the whole radio sequence, and the flags that have a yellow light on one side and a red light on the other. The ballad flags have the hometown of the guard member on it, as well as how many miles their town is from Finals. It made me sad just thinking about how much they probably miss their home.
-The Cavaliers I only saw once, but I loved their show. With how the guard guys were dressed, though, I kept expecting saberfights to break out. I liked the one part where some of the musicians "crowd surfed" over the guard.
Other corps I remember liking were Santa Clara Vanguard, The Bluecoats, and Carolina Crown. Especially how Vanguard left the field.

My Favorite Cores:
The Cavaliers: They play loud, and they march fast. What more could you want?! They are amazing, and their shows are always mondo cool. I almost wish I had been born a boy so that I could march with them.
The Glassmen: I dedided that they were amazing this year with their awesome show "Mastery and Madness". Way cool. And, I mean, c'mon... have you *seen* how high they hold their contras?!
Capital Regiment: My favorite underdog core. ^^ They are clever and witty, and they've got a sense of humor. Who says shows always have to be serious?
Favorite Shows for this year:
Changing Lanes - The Crossmen Green Machine - Cavies Faust - Phantom Regiment Duality - South Wind

MYSTERIO9008 5) 1989 Santa Clara Vanguard: Phantom of the Opera - Even though I think New World SYmphony was better, this show was still amazing in so many ways...the company front at the end during "Music of the Night" always gives me goosebumps... I saw that on YouTube! It's my obsession and my favorite "school activity" combined! We watched a little DCI stuff last year because Mr. Grifa was in it. All I remember was a show by the Cadets that featured a girl opening a door and coming out with different costumes on.

I've only seen the semi-finals for dci in Atalanta, G. My top 3 are the Blue devils, Phantom regiment, and the cavaliers. My favorite show was The Cavies with their computer themed show. It was AWESOME!!!!!
