I recently got a new puppy dog and it's extremely energetic. Just now I brought it into my room and tried everything to calm it down so it'd lay down and go to sleep, but it continuously whined and ran back and forth. Then, randomly, the idea came to me to calm it with Reiki. I simply summoned some reiki energy right there and gathered it all in my hand. The moment I did this the dog ceased his whines and running around and stared intently at my hand. I then simply drew a sei hei ki (the symbol for emotional calmness) on the dog's forehead and it immediately went to sleep surprised
I don't know the limitations yet, but this is amazing biggrin

eek wow eek I never guessed that reiki could be that effective ... and isn't reiki intended as a healing thing and putting a dog to sleep wouldn't realy be considered "healing" would it?

Reiki isn't merely healing ^^;; Reiki is simply a very powerful energy that (as far as I know) cannot be used with bad intent. In fact- upon summoning Reiki some Reiki energy I usually feel very at peace and couldn't possible wish any harm. Reiki is remarkably effective in healing, however there's a symbol in Reiki known as the sei hei ki which gives a sort of "emotional healing". It's a symbol originally meant to help with stress or such things. It apparently works really well on puppies whee
Oh- and I did find a limitation to it. It has a time limit on it ninja After about an hour and a half (a little less long than the longest I've maintained my Reiki wings) I lost my ability to calm the puppy and he woke up.
Oh- and something really interesting happened while the puppy was still under the Reiki charm 3nodding I walk over and touched the puppy and it instantly woke up and was entirely alert. I picked it up and carried it over to its cage and it instantly laid down and fell back asleep. It's capable of going from perfectly and entirely awake to perfectly and entirely asleep in seconds confused

Facinating... perhaps the puppy is more sensitive, because he is young, multiplying on the fact animals are naturally sensitive. ^ ^ expose him to energy and reiki and such, and I would think he would grow up even more sensitive. Good side of psi-baby, anyone?

mmmm hmm... animals are very sensetive to energies, like reiki and such 3nodding
I think healing animals even works better than healing people with reiki sweatdrop

ambrose_sallia Perhaps it's lack of doubt that makes it stronger? 3nodding well... considering animal's don't have a society filled with multiple religions and schools and stress and stuff and they won't focus on whether or not ENERGIES exist, kinda... yeah sweatdrop

I've been using this trick alot since I learned it xd Our puppy is a hyper-active b*****d child so being able to calm it is very nifty 3nodding It'll be running around the basement in circles or bouncing up and down barking at a fly and in a matter of moments I get it to lie down and be still 3nodding

Yes, I experienced a similar thing with my cat one night- she wouldn't settle down and so I stroked her forehead from nose to ear level while channelling energy and she just went to sleep. When I woke up she hadn't moved but was fine. I began wondering if the same technique could be used to calm down people under stress, feeling panicked, etc. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'd be fascinated to hear your thoughts on it.
