Giving himself a few minutes to catch his breath and steady himself he moved to sit cross-legged on the sand as he watched Aylana in the water. He was still drenched with sweat but a bath would fix that.
Seeing her worried he gave her a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine. Just didn't know that would happen now. You ok?" He was more worried about her havig to see that then of the lingering ache he felt. His breathing was taking a while to return to normal, but other than that and being tired he looked fine.

Aylana nods "Yes I'm okay, Its normal for me to see something like that. Ever seen Nyoka tail rip into two legs, its not a pretty picture. But after awhile its becomes normal to a person. But what a more important question is why are you human again?" she looked at him curious, she knew it happen in the past but she didn't think it would have happened again.

His face fell a bit at the question. "Don't know. This is the third time. I know it needs to happen, but why I don't know. I might soon though, when I go away for a little while."
He smiled for her as his breathing kept slowing to normal. A hot shower or bath when he got back to the ollow was going to feel good after this. At least he hadn't been in the middle of a jump this time.

Aylana breaths alittle better, he seemed to be okay, so she didn't have to worry as much, but she couldn't help feel guilty for truely not being there. "Third time....I've only seen you human twice....I really hope you figure it out. I hate seeing you in pain Devi....."
She touches the small braid in her hair going quite before looking at him "Devi....if this happen again you have to let me know, somehow I'll get back to you. I do not want you to be alone again."

He smiled and gave a short nod. Hopefully the tears threatening to fall woudl be attributed to the change the the fact he was pertty much doused anyway.
"I promise. But how will I tell you if it happens?" That was one question he hoped had a fast answer. He was tired of the 'wait until you're older' response.

Fingering the faethers Devi gave a small, silent laugh. "Ok, I'll remember. They never leave me anyway." He smiled for her, trying to make her feel better even tough he missed her badly. If this was what was better for her he wouldn't be the one the ruin it.
"Anything else you want me to do?"

He nodded, understanding. Though he didn't think he should stand or anything seeing as that tended to offend people. Instead he gave her the biggest smile he could, making the first sign he ever learned. "I love you."
She'd be back and then everything would be fine.

Aylana smiles "I love you too little brother....I will see you soon...." she soon faded from the water surface. Sitting back she closes her eyes and shakes her head "Man why did I ever leave...."

Devi's smile broadened. He kept holding the sign until she was gone, and even after that for a bit.
Making sure no one was around to see him he staggered to his feet and began the long, painful walk home. Still, if being human meant he could talk to his sister, that was ok. A small smile stayed on his face as he thought over everything and knew she'd be back.
