What about theories? Like are there certain circumstances that cause zombification? Or anything like that?

`Psychotic
http://www.fvza.org/index.html

Site talking about government study on vampires/werewolves/zombies.
Apparently, there used to be a section of the government for this. o.O

You know that's a joke, right?

Poisoning with blowfish poison is often brought up a lot when it comes to real life zombies. There's a voodoo practice that allegedly uses it in order to zombify someone.

[--Caius Inferi--]
-According to The Zombie Survival Guide, Zombification is caused by a virus known as Solanum. It is not found in any flora and fauna as of yet, so its source is unknown.
-Also according to the handbook it is 100% communicable and 100% fatal.
-The book lists supposed records and findings of zombies and the virus that causes them dating back to 60,000 BC.
Here's a piece of advice. The guy who wrote the Zombie Survival Guide (Max Brooks) is not somebody you want to listen to. He sounds smart, but he talks out of his a**. I used to be a big fan of his work until I stopped, thought for a second, and realized he doesn't make much sense. His handbook is a great piece of fiction, and pretty creative, but there is no way it's realistic, and a lot of his advice is badly flawed.

Zombies, if anything, would be more like those in 28 Days/Weeks Later or I Am Legend than anything else. Zombies would need to be fast moving and strong, or humans would have no problem killing them all quickly. Sure, slow moaners would cause much death and panic at first, but once people figured out to shoot the head, military and law enforcement would have no problem containing and eliminating any outbreak. Furthermore, zombies would have to retain bodily function (such as heart beat) in order to function (This assumes disease zombies. Magic zombies are another issue). Max Brook's explanation doesn't cut it unless magic is somehow involved. All functioning creatures need an energy source, per the basic laws of biology.

I honestly think they exist....Somewhere. But hopefully they don't eat people and they just eat animals....But if an infestation does happen....SHOOT THEM IN THE HEAD! Or run for it....which would be stupid because they can run like a son of gun...But yeah....I think they exist.

i guess the resident evil theory is the most realistic.
if humans can give a rat an extra ear and clona sheep, i think they can create a virus...
