Ok from Tide Line Blue, there's Aoi who reminds me of Relena if she were an old lady. She leads the new United Nations as Secretary General after the Hammer of Eden wiped out most of the world. Then there's this weird ostrich that has Dorothy's eyebrows. Sorry couldn't help it... sweatdrop

Yeah, I'm going to guess that the whole Queen Relena costume was specifically modelled on that movie. Too similar to be a coincidence.

It is kind of cool to see the outfit out of animation. I've always loved that outfit. It's so beautiful. redface

Actually, I owe you one...my GF has been trying to get that dress for ages, and knowing that it has a real-life counterpart ought to help a lot.
Strangely enough, she's familiar with Roman Holiday, but didn't make the connection until I pointed it out to her today...

Maybe the character designers used that as a basis for the dress because of the original woman who wore it?

Could you e-mail me the two shots of the dress? I need to send someone reference pictures so that he can make the dress for me.
My e-mail is Relena989@Yahoo.com

...That Relena one!! eek 0h my god!!! That's super creepy!!!!!!! I L0VE that. How ever did you find that? I wonder if it really was a copy...everything's perfect with them! Even the eyebrows. Wow...
ok, so, who is that exactly? Someone said it was a movie?? I'm quite interested in learning about this. << >> Plus I'd like to see more because this might just make a cosplay easier.

This one is a semi-stretch...Queen Dianna and her lookalike Kihel Heim from Turn A Gundam look to have one or two features in common with Relena. It's especially noticable in the Turn A manga adaptation drawn by Koichi Tokita, the artist who did most of Wing's manga:

The only reason that Heero would destroy something is so that certain people wouldn't get there hands on whatever he was destroying. Sasuke, well, I'm not even going there. I mean, he's good looking and is a great ninja, but his personality is really lacking. He's basically there for girls to swoon over.
