"Every spring time is a miracle, every newborn is a miracle. The thoughts we think, the words we utter - each is a miracle. We live from miracle to mircake. That is why the Modim reminds us - "Be thankful for God's miracles, which are dailey with us.""

I think miracles are mixed with fate. Does that make any sense?

Well, you got a point there, G-d is giving us miracles in order to try us, if we will still go after his laws ( like, he gives you money or taking money from you to see if you will still follow him ), so the miracles are unbreakable parts from our fate ( and as I said, it's a miracle that we are alive, and the life is all about fate, if you won't have life, you won't have fate xd )

That's an interesting thought process and idea- thank you! ^^

There is no such thing as fate in judaism... confused . Your life is not predetermined.

What does Judaism say about fate and destiny?

I think it's in Christianity that is says G-d knows what you are going to do in life, and if you will end up in heaven, hell, purgatory, or whatever you call it.

I don't really agree with that myself, though- if my religion says otherwise I'll rethink my views, but I guess I just don't like the idea of having my life set out before me and not being able to choose the outcome due to my own path and choices. sweatdrop

I don't agree with you, pal. You have a fate. And I don't think that life are predetermind because of the fate. I beleive that the fate can be changed by your actions. In yom kipur, G-d is deciding what will be your fate to this year, and it still can be changed if you are doing mitsvas and good actions.

... You DO notice that what your describing is not really fate? sweatdrop .

By definition, fate is "an event (or a course of events) that will inevitably happen in the future" - and there is nothing you can do about it. Judaism beleived exactly the opposide - There IS something you can do about your future, it is NOT predetermined. Either way, you are saying exactly what I'm saying, so... Case closed 3nodding .
