I think that God exisits in word only for you can not talk or phrase the non existant, by trying or doing so they then become existant in words and conceptual ideas therefore holding place or holding a foundation of exisitence to some degree.

Very deep.
But you're not talking physically, are you?

It depends on how one wishes to define existance.

If we define anything which we can imagine as existing in word form... then everything exists. But it doesn't necessarily exist in reality.

words arn't necessarily reality it all depends on your own concept and perspective. I just find it all interesting no?

Interesting, yes. They shape perception afterall.

However, they don't shape reality. Which is the more important matter here.

Whether perception is a realiable measure of reality is... another matter to consider.

I actually agree but we cannot totally prove reality we can only come up with concepts and conclusions but again you have given me a thought worth pondering biggrin .

I would say that the reliability of our perception is in their ability to predict consequences. It's not perfect by anymeans, but it's a fair indication I feel.

I've always thought relgion was orginaly created to hold large empires together. It gave all the citizins hope for something, and thus made it easier to control said empire.

That is probaly a part truth Flamecheetah but i have always found or seemed to find religion as a means to explain the unknown i.e lightning, weather patterns, and natural disasters.

That would be more spirituality. Religion is more organised than a simple set of myths about how things work, or why.

Yes redem but most base or pagan religions or at least their gods/goddesses represent argricultural, weather, and seasonal occurances so thats why i have the previous thought. However modern day religions i have to agree with your statement, althought the above still holds place to a certain degree.
