“Of course they have a problem. I stole her money purse an hour ago. No one saw anything so I waited until I knew one of you were looking, sadly again you weren’t but Max was. So I created an illusion that made it seem as if I was taking it. Here, now that I have your attention you may have it back.
“I know you’re going to the mountain. You need something though, something that will help you on your journey. I may be that someone. I can help you on your trip. Take me with you. If you are in search of treasure there is no need to be worried. I am not in search of it.”
The halfling gets up and finishes his drink. He pulls out a dagger and throws it at the wall. “If you don’t need me take my dagger. It will help you against the one major monster in the mountain, the dragon.” With that he starts to walk out the door.
