Youtube.com is becoming a good source for Japanese television. If you search for "Ayaka's Surprise English Lesson" you'll get a lot of results. I also found some more segments with Kago-san (the blue shirt girl) Check it out.

There's this goofy show called Eigo de Shaberu Naito hosted by Pakkun where he tests people (I assume they're celebrities) on English. I only know this because a friend of mine is distantly related to him. You can watch some of that here.

Domo arigatou gozaimasu, Freakezette-sama. Eisha terebi o daisuki. (?)

I found the Ayaka ones, but the other link doesn't seem to work. I'll look for the romanji of that.

Ugh, I guess you can search in Japanese, but can't link to Japanese results. If you copy the japanese and paste it the youtube search bar you should get some results. 英語でしゃべらナイト

That American (?...she looked it) lady's pronounciation made my ears bleed. That's so terrible! I need to make a pact with my friend that if I ever pronounce things like that, she has to slap me...hard...repeatedly.

*cringe*
*freaky forced smile*

That makes it seem like Japan is a completely buff country while America is full of fat old men.

Maybe not the pure buff thing for Japan, but come to think of it, that might be rather accurate...

I think both countries have their fair share of awkward looking men.

She's definitely American, she sounds like she was feed her two lines right before she went on camera and didn't really know what she was saying. I guess 4 years of Japanese class desensitized me to bad pronounciation. There was one guy in my class that said his Japanese R's like English Rs, it was hard when we learned passive form (which adds rareru to the end of class 2 verbs). There was also another girl, when talking in English pronounced "Kanji" "CAN-gee" ack!

What sort of a building is Ayaka at? It sounds like we're supposed to know who the people she's quizzing are, like they're celebrities or something, but the building looks like an office building...O.o
