Mia Eidenschink When they redid "Romeo and Juliet" in present time with Leonardo Di'caprio. >.< soo bad.
I sooo agree with Dewdew all the way 3nodding
Most Disney movies are horrid. >.< I know they arn't based for romance...but come on!! >.< They are just so horrid. Also, any movie that involves some one ruining a wedding. Like, when a guy comes in at the last moment, shouting how it shouldn't be right and blah blah blah...yeah, it is just wrong!!! >.< not only is the guy left out all alone with his hand on his a**, but they just wasted an a** load of money!!! gonk But I LOVE Disney. Stuff like that is allowed to slip because it IS Disney.

Dewdew This is not necessary to do with romance movies but I hate it when they make historic movies and then get all the historic facts wrong. Ahhh!!! It is calledd RESEARCH!!!! Like Gwenith(sp?) Paltrow's shoes on the cover of Emma? That bothers me. sweatdrop And I hate when people make historic inaccuriacies in books, too. Especially when they author makes a HUGE one that they got right ina previous book. gonk

athair liath ella enchanted was NOTHING like the bhook. It drove me nuts. Cary Elwes was good though. I KNOW!!!!! The book was so good, and the movie was so bad. I admit I might have liked the movie in a 'it's a cute kids movie' kind of way if it hadn't been based on the book(and I use the term 'based' really loosely), they cut out all the cool stuff, like Ella stealing Hattie's wig, Ella's gift for languages, and all the letters between Char and her. And put in stupid stuff like Slannen and that stupid book. And Mandy is supposed to be an old, fat grandmother figure who chooses to do only little magicks. Not a young, hot, friend type who just sucks at it. And who gives away her boyfriend.

It's all about image. They can't have an unattractive good guy because the good guys are all supposed to be gorgeously handsome and the bad guys are supposed to be hideously ugly. It's all in characterization ugly = bad and pretty = good. Stupid but that's how they used to write. Big and slow = dump and lean and fast = smart...it was all based on appearance. Anakin was lame, he so didn't desire padme. Ella and Char...he was the King at that point so who was going to make a fuss? The king can do whatever he wants. Troy was stupid...they messed that one up considering Patricleus (sp?) wasn't Achilles' cousin...but whatever, we're not the makers of the movies we just have to watch and criticize...

I gagged during the romance scenes in Star Wars: Episode three. The cheesiest romance crap I've ever seen. Especially considering how fantastic the romance was in the original trilogy (Han and Leia).

Especially considering how fantastic the romance was in the original trilogy (Han and Leia). I liked the third movie for the incredible action scenes...and that's about it. I'm a fan of tragedy, so I liked the ending as well (except for the generic Star Wars "NUUUUU!"), but the beginning with Anakin and Padme... gonk I agree with you about Han and Leia, that is one of my all time FAVORITE parings! "I happen to like nice men." "I'm nice" *Every SW fan's favorite make out scene!* You know what I think it is? In Anakin and Padme, they forced romance on us. With Han and Leia, they made it subtle. I think unless a story is all about the romance, they shouldn't put it in at every moment they possibly can.

You know that the "I can't live without you" or "My life is incomplete without you!", is...ugh. The action scenes were pretty good, but...... I still prefer the original trilogy. The writing's just so much better. ( I thought the "NOOOOOOO!" was funny. I laugh out loud every time I see it. Partially because a couple of weeks before I saw it my friend and I made up our own "Nooooeoeo!" sound). Han and Leia- not as subtle as some are (never get together subtle), but perfect. They didn't openly flirt, they did that privately. No open "I'll love you FOREEEEVER!!!"s, but a couple of "I love you"s spread across the trilogy, and a couple of kisses. It wasn't big, it didn't take too much attention from the action-based story. It was just... good. I'm a really big fan of the "I love you" "I know" bit. Because it's just sad, you know? I think "I love you!" or "I love you too!" would ruin the moment. Plus, Han's "I love you" when Leia pulls out the blaster in RotJ is priceless. (that make out scene totally rocks. KILL C3PO!)

Speaking of the Han/Leia stuff...You know the scene "I love you" "I know"? Apparently, it was scripted that Han said "I love you, too." But it wasn't working. So Harrison Ford asked Lucas if he could do something different, and Lucas said go with it. Thus came the "I know." And that scene with the blaster...You know that when Han's pushing her back after she got hit to keep her safe, he grabs her boob, right? It was a mistake, but it's there.

I agree with most of these...making life simple xd
I absolutely hate when they take historically based movies and modernize them, as much as they did with Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo Di'caprio. A little modernization is alright, but when the entire movie is modernized is just annoying and stupid.
