Well, all of the books except the last one were absolutely awesome, but i don't know if the movie could ever live up...But, then agai. that's what people said about LOTR; and those were a great visual representation...Hitchhikers is so spontenious and semi-plotless though...

Yes...
It was one of the most random, plotless films that I ever saw. In fact, was there even a plot? They hardly went anywhere or did anything!

You didn't listen to Stephen Fry's great rendition of the book did you. They went everywhere at once. Every time they used the improbability drive, I'm disapointed in you. You should pay less attention in class and more attention to mind rotting films. blaugh

Have you really heard the original radio series?

The original radio series is the best. It really captures the essence of the story perfectly. It is kind of cool that the books came after the radio series, and that they were in different orders too!

I think that the T.V series was alright...But the actor who plays Ford Prefect in the T.v series wasn't actually that good He was waay to slow when he had a line to say leaveing a few seconds gap where he should have been saying something.

Yeah, it was a bit dodgy. The guy in the film was ok considering he is a rapper.

the movie is actually a great experience, which goes a bit off-track of the storyline in the books, but it stays faithful.

The towl thing at the end is kind of random xp

I detest the movie. stare I wish to spear a lance through the very solar plexus of they that continued the script after Adams died. This was a travesty to the books in my opinion.

I know others may feel a bit differently, but I was horrified with it. Especially the end, "Not that anyone cares, but it's at the other end." Which makes absolutely no ******** sense in consideration to the books themselves. I have been in love with the Hitchhiker's series and my two good friends who saw it with me were as equally devoted and apprehensive about viewing it: we had good reasoning as well. We saw the TV series and honestly I much prefer Ford Prefect in the TV series than I do to Mos Def playing his role. Unfortunately I was never capable of listening to the radio series, but I intently wish I had.

I will desist now--I'm afraid to continue ranting and raving about the horrors of that asinine film.

Oh, I'd never go anywhere without my towel.

I was afraid the movie would ruin it too, but after seeing it I decided it wasn't that bad really.
