I went hume, since I like the versatility (I can swicth to any job and do a decent job without spending 10 million gil on equipment) and because I thought they looked the best overall.
Then, I picked monk, since they're my favorite class in FFT. some of the strongest hitters and overall very useful. but really, as soon as I heard of, then saw hundred fists, I knew monk was gonna be awesome. I can take on some low ITs by myself with focus+berserk+dodge+mithkabob+100fists. pure badassness.
I wasn't sure what to do after the possibility of advanced jobs opened up. thinking dragoon, since I usually like them, or paladin since I had fun tanking while leveling my WAR sub.
finally, I went for samurai, due to coolness factor and the hottest AF gear

oh an side note...I love tanking, thats another reason why i chose monk as a sub. if i had nin as a sub like in kazham the onions would rip right through utsumi...on the other hand ive tanked with mnk in kazham an impressed the hell outtta the pt i was in because i could hold the hate -very- well, hell my ls member who was the pt's blm even complained he couldnt get the mob off me long enough to cast drain! lmao
Yeah, I'm always weary when I'm asked to tank as a MNK, but as MNK/WAR I can usually do a better job than the tank(unless he's really good). and against foes that hit softer, the difference in damage taken isn't huge, especially when using Dodge and all the counterattacks thrown in.
