This thread has some awesome stuff in it, guys heart I'm not sure how much of this applies to Aureli, so I will try to drag Steele in for more information! She has the same background as Keita, but I'm sure she has a different path laid out for her. Cause she's a GRRRRL. xd
Keita Is a child of the Forest Spirit, who took pity on a lonely woods-shaman she loved and gave him a pair of children touched with all aspects of the forest. This includes things like the voice of the birds, the quiet of the trees, etc etc etc. Most of these things are physical, and most aren't particularly supernatural- just pretty. The end result is a very, very deep connection to the forest and the following 'abilities'- more like instincts.
- the abilty to sense anything wrong with any forest the moment he steps into it, and the knowledge of how to fix anything that's wrong.
- understanding of all plants and animals within (he'll be better at this as he grows). Basicaly, he knows how all of the animals interact, what they eat (plants or each other), and what plants have healing properties/poisons/etc.
- ability to communicate with any animal within. Right now, he talks to them, they give him a basic response. Eventually, he'll be able to speak their languages. He doesn't do as well with anythign outside of a forest environment, but given time and motivation he could learn.
- heightened senses. Half of this is due to his physical traits- better hearing from his soft ears, excellent sense of smell, hawk-sharp sight. The other half is just instinct.
- the nagging habit of bits of plant to FOLLOW him wherever he goes (and spring up in his footsteps xd )
- Herd-King: I saw this in a book once, I'll try to explain xd ;; Essentially, a stag controls the herd. All of it, down to the reactions, where they eat and sleep, how they move from location to location. This is rank, but also some element of control. Keita is highly protective of those he considers 'his,' and can link with them to actually control their bodies in cases of danger (i.e., making the entire 'herd' move together when they are panicked/frozen). This does make him a little overbearing sometimes >.>;; but he tries hard not to be!
-Shaman. Once Keita's old enough, the Forest Spirit will teach him her secrets as she taught his father. For more info on this, look up Native American tribal medicine- that's a lot of what I base his studies on.
Basically, consider Keita half wild animal n.n A lot of his personality/self/abilities come from being very deeply wrapped in the essence of the forest.

Alright, finally got an idea down. B: Subject to change, blah blah blah, but not too much.
Mayu was the goddess of harmony, therefore she has an opposite counterpart to each skill she learns. Except kicking a**, you can't get good at kicking a** and then suck at it suddenly. Her element was wood, explaining why she's so good with plants.. and.. stuff.
- Kick a** (balanced by her normally peaceful and sweet personality)
- Improve the growth of plants (Or slow it down, but no one can really tell if you slow the growth of a plant down. They grow too slow anyway.)
- Lend strength to others for a period of time (Or take it away, I guess. I'm not sure if she will even use this ability -- it was used in her legend during the army attack but only then.)
- Hurt people with.. pointy.. petal.. things. (Or.. not hurt people with pointy petal things. Basically, she'll be able to lob flower petals at people and.. cut them with sissy flowers. <3)
- Calming effect on animals/people? (When angry or sad, she'll have a more negative effect on people.)
Also, she'll be able to do little things like speak Japanese and grow/shrink the branches on her back. Other skills may or may not be added in the future but she will have to learn them, of course. *3*
Regarding the significance of the cherry tree: Mayu's element was wood, therefore she had an attatchment to plants. She also landed in a cherry tree in bloom when she descended from the heavens, so that's another aspect. Also.. because sakura is purtyful! :F
( Sorry if these powers are too random. x__x; It took me forever just to come up with an idea that kinda matched the cherry tree thing and what I had in mind for her legend. ^^; )

Okay, here goes nothin'.
Avril (or Maria Avril, as it were) is primarily a wind spirit. Specifically she is of the warm, summery wind affiliation. "The first, Maria Avril, came from a pairing with the sun, and carried with her Spring's life and Summer's warm embrace. ".
However, like any spring breeze, she has a tendency to be fickle and hot tempered. Also, as noted in the above passage, she is a daughter of the sun and therefore has mildly sunny properties, usually displayed as a faint glow that is somewhat apparent when in especially dark places. Because of this affiliation she also has a tendency to be especially robust and healthy.
Avril's main ability is to manipulate the wind. This lends a variety of talents, especially with eavesdropping; and, like many supernatural powers she will have little control over it until her later stages.
Avril is a tomboy, preferring to run around and play in the muck and such. She's adventureous to a fault and has a soft spot for dogs. She is also a good swimmer. While these things are not exceptional they are worth note.

Seeing as I never really knew if Waya had a back story before, and from what Cubi told me the only impression I got was to use Shamanism in his future. I would like anyone to pop over to his journal and read the story I made for him, though I have recently tweaked it to add changes I wanted to make. I have done my best to keep with what Cubi had hopefully originally intended and I will continue to center him around the following things:
Shamanism. It will most likely be kept to the point where Waya communicates with the spirits for help and assistance in various things like hunting, weather, guidance, injuries and possibly a bit of fortune telling and future glimpses. All of which will be done through spiritual communication.
Animism. This will also be important to Waya in the future. It hasn't yet been developed though is planned.
He will also have other powers when he grows such as: Aerokinesis, Chlorokinesis, Geokinesis, Hydrokinesis, Pyrokinesis and Biokinesis. All of which will be done through the spirits and not him directly. The only thing that may or may not be his power alone is a bit of precognitive ability.
Waya also has two dominate spirit guides of sorts. He will of course talk to any spirit, but these two will be with him 24-7. At his current state he's not strong enough both mentally and physically to allow anyone but himself or someone with a large amount of spiritual sense to see his two guides. Those two being:
Neshoba. The white wolf he had gone off and chased after in the woods. At this point he and Waya are close enough that Waya trusts him. However secretly everything Neshoba has done up to now was for his own good as he has plans.
The second guide has yet to make an appearance though if you read his legend you'll have an idea as to what it will be in the future.
As for his pendant, as I know those were questioned before.... I don't technically know where it went, but I am going to assume Waya kept it with his other belongings through his moves. That too will be used in the future development, however not at this time.

Karan is essentially a pawn in a giant empyreal chess game. His Legend deals heavily with celestial dieties, specifically the sun and the moon. As a sort of "child" of both of them, Karan draws his powers from lunar/solar bases, especially the former.
Primarily, Karan is capable of astral projection. This is something that all planetary/stellar beings are capable above, as generally their true bodies are only so much gas and/or rock. Karan's case is naturally a little different, but he can still separate his soul from his body, and go wandering in that form. Time is not an issue; his body won't suffer any adverse effects beyond being comatose, but the longer he spends as a loose spirit the harder it will be to return. While in spirit form he would of course be visible to anyone who can see those kinds of spirits. With some effort and practice he can make himself visible to anyone he chooses, but that wouldn't happen for some time. Also, his body is basically an open vessel for other spirits, and there's not much he can do about that.
In addition to this, and through some pretty convoluted plotstuff, Karan is postcognitive. He can, with a good deal of effort, call upon the memory of the sky (which is ALWAYS watching us, keke) and get information about what has already happened. This would also improve with practice, starting as something that would take several minutes (while he'd be in a trance-like state), and eventually getting to the point where the memory would know what he was looking for, and release the information in a flash. He does have to know either a general timeframe or a gist of the event he's looking for, however, or else he could spend eternity leafing through the infinite memories of the universe.
Along the same lines as postcognition, Karan is also able to use farsight- essentially presentcognition. This is extremely difficult, as it requires a steady link with the universal memory. Not only does it drain a hell of a lot of energy, but when attempting it he runs the risk of creating a bond so great that he can't break it alone- and again, would be stuck watching forever. Not a pleasant possibility. So yes, it's something he would try once in a blue moon (XD), if at all.
Something that isn't quite a power, but should be mentioned anyway, is the fact that Karan will on rare occasions see visions of the future. The events portrayed are not guaranteed to happen, but are always possible outcomes, and are based on the astrological vein in Karan's Legend. Also, these will generally relate to himself, though if anyone wanted him to have a vision of something specific it could be arranged.

I am not Kitsu's original guardian/creator, so I'm kind of deciding this at random, hope it doesn't offend anyone.
Physical strength - Due to her equine half, Kitsu is as fast as a horse her age, when panicked she moves even faster. She is also as strong as a horse her age, and will be able to carry up to two people on her back when full grown. Her humanoid arms aren't quite as strong, but still are a bit stronger than the average female.
Magical powers: Her legend indicates that she was reborn from the deaths of Kiritsune Ryu and the princess, which is why she has the ability to bring things to life. Unfortunately she doesn't have the same amount of power that the pure blooded Kiritsune Ryu had, so they only come to life for a short amount of time, depending on her age and magic strength at the time.
In other words, dancing stuffed toys, and pictures coming out of her sketchook. Pretty much useless unless she's in a pinch, but a lot of fun!

Much like Ice queen, I'm not Chesai's creator, but I ran this through Naita and she okayed me and said I was good to go soooo~~
Chesai's base power is Fire. She'll gain further control of it as she ages; as a child, all she can do right now, perhaps with practice will be to summon a small dancing flame in the palm of her hand. Her skin is unnaturally hot all the time, even in the dead of winter, and even if she treads bare foot over snow, it'll melt somewhat to the touch (her skin is not uncomfortable to the touch however). She can control how warm her skin is, however at times it can derange according to her emotions. If she's angry, her temperature can spike up, warming the air around her; if she's comfortable, it may make others around her comfortable (if that makes any sense ;_; ). Anyhow. Yes. Fire. Chesai controlls fire.
Also, being a phoenix, she can be 're-birthed'. It is currently unknown how this power works, however, there's indications that high levels of stress, distress, sadness, loss of hope and will to die can trigger, or help trigger the process. After being Re-birthed, though she'd essentially remain the same, her memories of the 'previous life' will be erased, and perhaps some minimal aspect of her person might change.

Ahahah, way late to the game!
Prana's power/ability is healing, using a flow of energy through the practice of reiki. Her healing will improve as she become older until it becomes fairly extraordinary, but she will never be able to stop anyone who is mortally wounded from dying, and serious healing would take multiple sessions. She is also learning the art of herbs and herbal medicines (for healing and 'other purposes') from her past self through dreaming. I suppose her element would be earth, but fire is sacred to her in a ritual sense.
Through her shaman is, she will also eventually develop the ability to create the aura of a bear about herself, giving the illusion of transformation.

This is ... way a long time coming but ...
Lafe is a pooka, part of the faerie court ( mostly the Seelie, but the Unseelie would LOVE to get their hands on him ). A lot of his character traits came from the White Wolf World of Darkness set, so his abilities are from that.
His primary power is that of Soothsaying. The ability to see the future, within reason. The immediate downfall of this is Lafe is usually pulled INTO the vision and can often be harmed by it. Due to this, he's very hesistant to even use the power. Preferring, more often, to let the visions come to him. Very rarely will he push to have a vision - it usually doesn't end well.
He has two traits that are born to all pooka, one a boon, the other a flaw. Pooka have the ability to transform into the creature they represent. As Lafe is a fox, he can transform into a fox. The other is the gift of lies, which is not really a gift. Lafe has the innate ability to mix lies and truth with such ability that few would be able to tell that he's not telling the truth.
Another boon born to pookas is the fact they're natural confidants. People just WANT to trust them. Then again, due to the fact that he's fae, he's got this unearthly quality to him that makes people up to no good want to get you involved.
He has basic control over some elements, an ability call primal ( level 3 ), legerdemain ( 4 ) which is sleight-of-hand, chicanery ( 4 - just doesn't REALISE it ) the ability to full ones eyes and heart, and soothsay ( 5+ ). If you really wanna know what those abilities mean, look here. Keep in mind, I don't go totally by those rules - just loosely.
XD Never mind it's really funny to watch Lafe try and tie something up and act like he's doing it and watch it happen. >>; Anyway. That is all.
And no, no he's not really THAT great at any of those. Eventually he might be, he just isn't now.
