Hey guys I was looking for some recipes on how to cook tofu, but I recently found the coolest thing in the store, tofu in teriyaki sauce. All you do it add some bok choy and veges. you can make it into an omelette by adding an egg. It's really good!

I know a really good tofu recipe.
They're tofu tacos. cool

I don't have exact measurements...
But here it goes:

Put the tofu (as much as you want) over night.
Once it's frozen, chop it up into small squares and put it aside.
Then, heat up a frying pan with a little bit of vegetable oil in and semi-fry some onions. Then put in the little tofu square and let them thaw a bit. Then chop up any vegetables you want in it. Such as bell peppers and tomatoes.
Now break apart the tofu so they kinda look like scrambled eggs and put in the vegetables.
Season it with salt and some pepper, mix it up, and voila! Tofu tacos!

I use tofu in almost everything i make, as i'm a vegitarian, and i find there's this huge stigma about tofu, as though almost everyone i meet seems to think it is the incarnation of evil, and then they taste mine, and say "Wow! That's really good!" and i'm wondering where this inbred hatred of tofu came from. It tends to be fairly tasteless on it's own, and picks up the taste of whatever it's in, so it's delicious, it's healthy for you.... i'm just confused as to why people dislike it so much.

I don't think its a hate for tofu, its a texture thing for many people. That and many people dont know that tofu is basically tasteless and you have to put other things with it and it picks up those flavors.

Personally I like tofu in Eggsalad. I use 2 hard boiled eggs and about the same amount of tofu with all the fixings, No one knows the difference unless I tell them.
