Tuesday, 13th June, 1379 G.O. Summer
Today the sky is clear.
Jereon wanna discuss on document. So I took out the unfinished paper with me.
He wanted me to finish all and some parts need to be corrected.
The chibi showed me what remains of the bonzai pot as soon as I set foot in the house.
... His sheepish voice said... I'm sorry.
I didn't reply just looking at the broken pot in his hands...
A gift from Adriana's heart
But I failed to protect it...
Will she... mad at me?
Laxis still fixes his gaze at the floor...
I spoke wearily...
...Be more careful next time...
He looked up... I returned his gaze... and was about to leave to put the paper away.
He pulled my sleeve and looked down.
His sobbing was heard... why crying... I didn't mad at him.
I held him and patted his head saying it's okay. I'm not angry.
But he still went on sobbing... and said...
"Please don't look that sad anymore..."
... I ... was stunned...
The guilt towards Adriana... was shown... on my face...?
Laxis cried his eyes out... it took me a long while to dry his tears.
Tonight dinner was so silent... The chibi ate quietly... I... was also out of words.
The pup refused to go to bed. He insisted to snug with me on the mattress.
Maybe he is guilty... or feel I'm angry... or lonely?
The one who's supposed to be mad at... should be me...

Wednesday, 14th June, 1379 G.O. Summer
The chibi is a heavy sleeper...
He fell from the mattress since when I dunno.
I gotto carry him up and tug him in his bed.
He's so childish... You are 18, aren't you?
I kept my beddings and called Adriana.
Telling her I got something to talk to her.
She will meet me at noon.
The weather is hot.
I bought her a bouquet and reach there before time.
She showed up on time and was surprised to see me with a bouquet.
We went to a small coffeeshop nearby.
I told her frankly... that because of my carelessness... the bonzai pot was broken...
She was silent for a while before she asked the bouquet was my apology?
I nodded. If she's angry... I won't blame her a word... I deserve it.
She took the bouquet and said thank you.
Adriana didn't blame me about the broken pot but asked if the plant is still alive.
Last night Laxis showed me the bonzai in bucket. He said this will be its temporary pot.
I told her the bonzai is intact.
She smiled and said it's okay. She'll bring me a new pot.
She took her leave saying she's got a customer meeting.
I had nothing to do so I went home.
When I reached home I saw Laxis... talking... to the bonzai...
A spectacular scene for me...
A pup... and... a plant...?
Bonbon... is the plant's nickname.
... by...Laxis...
Whatever you wanna call it... -__-"
I spent the rest of the day working on Jereon's med docs.

Thursday, 15th June, 1379 G.O. Summer
Surprise greeted me at my door...
The chibi has come up with a naughty idea...
...What I assumed to be... umm... food... was laid on the living room's table.
(I guess he laid it there because he wanted me to notice it the moment I entered the house.)
I was stunned for seconds before I pointed at it and asked... what is this?
He beamed and replied... "Dinner".
I swallowed hard while looking at what Laxis called "dinner".
Suspicious green soup... with foams... reminded me of Jereon's poisons...
...and... umm... 4-5 fish... fresh... jumping fish...
A fish jumped up my face and pitifully fell to the floor...
"It's still raw." Yes... raw and alive.
The pup replied innocently "Yep. What's wrong? It's yummy. See?"
And he was about to show me how yummy it is. So I took the fish from his hands and swept everything into the kitchen.
I dumped the suspicious soup and made a new one from mushrooms in the fridge.
And fried the fish.
When dinner was ready I laid it on the table.
I was determined...
"Please don't cook anymore."
Laxis was dumbstruck for a while. Then he wagged his tail and blinked at me... gratefully...
I doubt he's misunderstanding something...?

Feels strange when I pat the pup's head.
Umm... his hair is... unusually rough...?
And he smells strong soap...
So I check the bathroom.
The detergent I put there yesterday... is missing almost half the box...
When I ask him... he said... "Isn't it bathing powder?"
... Is "For deep stains" means something for personal toiletries?

New surprise...
Jereon’s med docs... that I’ve spent days working on...
Are now decorated with... the pup’s illustration!!!
I was about to scold him... but couldn’t utter a word when I saw his doe eyes expecting my admiral...
He seriously has misunderstood something...
Okay okay... I’ll apologize Jereon and will work on it from the beginning.

Sunday, 18th June, 1379 G.O. Summer
I phoned Jereon since morning...
He told me to see him now since he’d go out in the afternoon to find raw materials for medicine making.
I took with me the documents... with the chibi’s illustration.
Today Laxis woke up early...
He asked me where I’m going and what for.
I cut off his string of questions by saying flatly I’m going to see Jereon.
... Dunno why the pup went pale when he heard the wise man’s name...
He no further questioned me. Just saying please come home early.
Jereon twitched his brows when he saw the documents...
I was ready to take all the blame... but he didn’t resent me.
Only gave me a new set of paper
And said
“Keep away from children”
....... Guess I gotto lock it in the safe this time ...-_-‘
After receiving the docs I left Jereon and went for a walk.
Lately I got so many headaches...
Maybe I gotto get myself a doctor? -_-‘
Reached home in the afternoon.
The chibi was... munching snack on the bed...
Snack crumbles scattered the bed sheet...
I told him to clean it...
He diligently agreed so I left the room to read a book at the sofa.
When I re-checked the bedroom...
The pup is still at his previous position... munching his snack...
I asked whether he has done the cleaning...
He said it's done. But he still hasn’t finished the snack so he went on eating.
... Then why eating on the bed again after you've cleaned it?
Finally I gave him a sharp command that no food allowed in bedroom.
His big pair of ears visibly drooped...

Monday, 19th June, 1379 G.O. Summer
The pup woke up earlier than me today.
Strange?
And he acted weird.
What’s up on his mind this time?
After get dressed, I prepared him breakfast.
I sipped on coffee while reading a book.
Laxis was unusually quiet... not talking nor asking me a word.
When it’s time, I left the house telling him to take good care of the house.
He nodded furiously and sent me a sugary smile.
This is really weird...
...
Tonight I was late.
The house... is so quite...?
Probably the chibi is already asleep?
I checked the bedroom... but...it’s empty...
Where is he going...???
I called everyone but none saw the pup.
Did he go out and get lost?
I rushed out to look for him.
But couldn’t find him anywhere...
Dunno what to do so I returned home...
Brat... where are you now?

Tuesday, 20th June, 1379 G.O. Summer
I couldn’t get a sleep the whole night.
The chibi didn’t come back home.
I went out to look for him again before sunrise.
Dark clouds hovering the sky... it’s going to rain soon.
As expected...it did rain.
It rained harder and harder.
Maybe a summer storm?
Screw me! I didn't take any umbrella with me. The morning sky was clear when I left home.
I took refuge from the rain at the Diner’s... Master asked what’s wrong with me. He said I looked so pale.
I asked him whether he saw a small teenage demi-human fox boy with red brown hair around here.
He shook his head in denial...telling me Rance and Adriana have been here asking him the same question this morning.
They are also helping me find the pup...?
Sitting idly here is useless.
So I decide to continue searching.
Master calling out at me to take an umbrella but I could wait no longer.
It rains heavily that I hardly see the path.
And it is so cold.
I searched for every possible place in town.
And was about to look for him further in the outskirt.
But my body gave in.
If it wasn’t raining...
I dropped by at Adriana’s mansion.
Rance was also there.
Both of them couldn’t find Laxis.
Adriana told me to rest there as it’s still raining hard.
But I refused telling her I gotto go home in case the pup has returned.
They didn’t insist me any further.
I was home.
Feeling terribly exhausted...
... How long have I ever been so worried like this?...
... Where have you been?... Laxis...

Wednesday, 21st June, 1379 G.O. Summer
I dozed off for 2-3 hours...
My head was throbbing... maybe a fever...
Probably because of walking in the rain all day.
Taking an aspirin, I couldn’t risk catching a cold now.
I lied down at the sofa before continue my search for the puppy in the late morning.
I was thinking of putting up a placard for missing pet…
The doorbell rang… Who is it?
I answered the door… Rance was there… holding the pup in his arms…
I let Rance in.
He laid Laxis on the couch.
The pup was sleeping…
His body covered with mud… His face pale…
Rance sat on another couch looking at the sleeping form of the chibi and sighed.
I sat across him asking where he found him.
He said Master called him this morning.
Telling the missing pet was found.
Laxis was found in an old crate that was delivered to the Diner’s.
Normally these wooden crates are for storing emptied bottles. They’re big enough for a boy to snug in.
The Master was surprised when he opened one of the crates and found him coiling inside. He then rapidly called Rance to pick him up.
I thanked Rance. He laughed and said don’t lose the pup next time.
Then he left for home.
I stroked the sleeping Laxis’s hair…
Such a trouble maker…
The chibi slowly opened his eyes. When he saw me he blinked and rubbed his eyes.
He took a deep look at me and… cried…. And gave me a big hug…
He kept repeating my name over and over… crying out it was so cold… he hated the cold rain…
I hugged him and patted on his head… He looked so alarmed.
He hated cold rain… that much…?
While Laxis was taking a bath, I cooked for him.
Seems like he hasn’t eaten anything during his absence.
While looking at him gobbling up the food,
I asked him how come he became lost and where he has been.
Laxis told me he was stalking me but lost me at the market because he smelled meat…
And came to conscious again at the middle of who knows where. The path seemed to lead him in circle.
At last he stayed there all night… In the morning the rain made him unable to track his way home…
He told me he hid himself in a cranny… later on he couldn’t remember much…
He regained consciousness again in the old crate...
Probably he has been to the hills nearby the city.
How come he has gone that far?
Laxis spent the whole day cuddling me.
He even moved down from his bed and huddled close to me on my mattress…
I wonder what would happen if I’m away for months…

The chibi wouldn’t let me go out -"-;
Maybe he still not get over from the shock.
So I gotto work on Jereon’s paper at home.
I took a rest by watching TV in the living room.
Laxis was coloring his book.
When I peered in, he swiftly closed the book.
"Secret" he chimed.
…What secret…?
I felt restless when I’m at home.
Maybe that’s why the pup finished his coloring book so quickly.
I was bored so I practiced on my guitar to pass the time.
The pup stopped coloring and earnestly listened to my music.
He asked me to teach him play the guitar… but I flatly said no.
He said I was mean.
Yeah. I am mean ‘coz I can’t guarantee you won’t screw my guitar… - -"

Friday, 23rd June, 1379 G.O. Summer
The chibi woke up earlier than me again.
But today he allowed me to go out.
He’s okay now…?
Rance called for me insisting me to meet him asap. What’s happened?
When I reached his home, he hastily dragged me with him.
I pulled his arm asking what he is doing.
He said… we gotto be on tour for a week.
Hey!! Why didn’t you tell me sooner!?!
He simply said he forgot to… because he was busy with finding Laxis…
I said I need to get home and prepare myself.
But Rance insisted me to leave with him and the band right away.
Plus he already prepared me the clothes and the spare guitar.
He left me no escape!
As I was thinking of what I’m going to do with the pup at home…
Grant walked out from his room… yawning…
And it dawned on me…
I asked him if he cared for babysitting a kid during my absence.
He made face saying he didn’t like kids.
I told him it’s just a baby.
Rance giggled and back me up. He was amusing.
Grant was reluctant.
So I offered him…
10,000… He yawned…
30,000… He rubbed his eyes lazily…
50,000… He scratched his head nonchalantly…
Tsk… Darn…
….
…
“80,000”
“Deal”
Negotiation done.
Rance’s mouth agape when he heard of the amount.
Well, it’s not a big deal. You can earn money as long as you still work.
I’m willing to pay if it could make the pup not losing his mind.
I left a quick note for Grant telling him what he gotto do.
Grant took it, still laughing.
“So well-off, Geezer.”
Tsk… You are also such a profiteer, brat.
Hope the pup won’t act up…
Hopefully…
Grant… could cope with him…?
I gotto travel with Rance and the band and leave the pup in the hands of…a Yankee…?
