I am a writer of first chapters. It is not that I don't know what to do with the story after the first chapter, but that after the first chapter when I come back I don't like sonething so I change it heaps and never actually get onto the second chapter. Shame I am a perfectionist.

Shame I am a perfectionist. -nods- I understand. That's how I use to be. Only recently, with a better understanding of my own style and a bit of maturity in the writing its self, have I stopped editing so obsessively. I actually finished a chapter one recently and moved on to a chapter two. xd

Hello. I write. Somehow romance always ends up in my writing whether it be the focus of the plot or something that's just there. I can't write a story wih no love in it. I don't know why. I've tried to and I just can't.
However I love to write. I Write poetry, fanfics, stories, etc. It's my relief when I feel strong emotions and it makes me happy. Most of my poetry is sad and depressing though, but some of it is really nice. I write also to just get certain things out of my head and to cure my incessant boredom. Hence the horror-esque play I wrote AFTER I saw The Sixth Sense. My creative writing class loved it even after I explained what compelled me to write it. Some fanfics of mine have spawned off of the same notion to calm my wild imagination.

I don't want to be a writer, but I do enjoy writing very much. I have problems in the fact that I can do the research, write complete outlines, but when it comes to writing the story its very hard for me xD. I've been trying very hard to write a romance story, right now I'm working on some research for one. For me its just, I can get into a story so much and then I get to like page 25 and read over it and I'm like "I hate it." So hard xD. emo

I think all you can do is plod through until you're done and THEN rip it to shreds and rewrite. xp

At least, that's how I do it. wink

I have a difficult time completing something because I get bored of that idea and get a new one I like better. My computer files are full of bits and pieces of stories I've started...

I love to write...my only issue is that I get so wrapped up in my ideas, I start to eagerly write the story after days of planning, only to stop after a page, having come up with another great idea. Some of my stories haven't even been started, I left them only with a plan....
I must seriously have WELL OVER 50 STORY IDEAS floating around...I should really work on them...
Luckily for me, I'm sticking out my current story. It's kind of in three parts - I started writing it two years back...continued writing it again last year, and I'm only just getting back into it now. Thankfully my writing style hasn't changed that much, and so it's still fluent, you can't notice the break in my story. Well, I mean, I notice the break between chapter 7 and 8, but no one else who reads it notices, so I guess I'm just the paranoid writer.

I love writng, but have been dealing with writers block, meaning that most of what I scribble down gets tossed. I have recently discovered, however, that when I do write well I tend to be half asleep and hyped up on about two cups of caffeine. Basically, I don't sleepwalk, I sleep write.

Wow this thread died.....Anyway just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm finally getting my book published. I'm insanely nervous about it, but it might be ok....I hope. For more info on it (if you want) look up EMHope2008, that's my writing account on here. It should be out by the end of next month. smile
