That may be true...but I also think she realized Noin and Heero's point that the Sanc Kingdom would do nobody any good with it's promotion of peace so long as it was destroyed...then again it could gain major popularity if it was looked upon as a martyred kingdom...

I have to say that Dorothy is definitely one interesting and dynamic personality. She does end up helping out in the end, So to me that would qualify her as a heroine. (if you go by the theory that the ends justifies the means) However, i wouldn't vote her for sainthood!

She is defintly one of my favorite female's ever. I started off hating her for all her war talk but as the series continued, i fell in love with her. She has such spunk and she changed her entire outlook not bad at all.

I would say Villian redeemed.

Endless Waltz the Movie where she stood up and proved a point as to what the Gundam's where doing was definitely a point proven towards Dorothy as a hero.

I, actually, have come to respect Dorothy. I feel that her character was necessary, much like Milliardo Peacecraft's. She fought because she knew that the earth and space weren't going to simply put down all weapons and saddle up for a heart-felt hug. She, like Milliardo, knew that simply calling for peace was, in the long run, only going to cost more lives.

Because of this, she put all of her passion into what she knew would ultimately bring the end of the suffering...more war.

I also admired her admiration for the battlefield. It wasn't like she was a war-mongering fool who enjoyed to see people suffer. She seemed to express a genuine awe for warriors who were willing to die in battle. She saw that raw passion and unselfish nature as beautiful and inspiring.

And when I look at soldiers that are now overseas, volunteering to fight for what they believe to be right and giving their lives to help keep others safe, I have to say I share that sense of awe. That kind of passion is...beautiful.

*But (sorry Void) I'm still peeved at the fact that she stabbed Quatre!* xp

I think that Dorothy is not really evil, she just values war and it's only natural considering her family ties.

AllI have to say to that is that you obviously haven't seen Endless Waltz. She changed drastically between the series and the movie. She plays a short role but it is pretty important.

I can see your point, but your opinion here doesn't apply to people who have the EW with edited scenes. In fact, I hadn't known that there was another version until a very short while ago (and I had seen my version of EW for the first time years ago). Under these circumstances, Dorothy's character isn't seen again. Then again, I don't really think she changes much from the end of the episodes to the movie. It is made clear in the end that she dislikes war...and this is mirrored by her actions in the movie. Sorry, I just don't think her small role in EW is a make-it or break-it deal if you really observe her entire role in Gundam Wing.

If someone hasn't seen the full version of EW, it's their own loss. >_>

Besides, Dorothy also helps out in Battlefield of Pacifists, where she's basically the sole reason the boys were able to stop the conflict. She also tried setting Heero and Relena up together. 3nodding

I guess, but, with me, I didn't even know there was another version out there. In fact, it was in this guild that I heard about it. Someone mentioned Dorothy in the movie and I was like "what? she never appeared in EW..." so it wasn't a decision I made to see one or the other...

It's not that big of a deal anyways...not too many differences, from what I have seen (but...I still only own my version). I saw some of the edited clips on youtube.

But Dorothy does help in a round about way...she holds to being one of those pivotal characters that hinges things together.
