I can't really tell what side he'd be on for specific issues, but I would say that he'd be pretty against discriminating and stereotypes, considering he was very discriminated against his whole life. I think he'd be pretty open minded about all these issues.

Abortion- I'm not sure; part of me says he'd be all for ending someone's life if you weren't going to love/care for him/her, yet another part of me says he'd think that every person should get the chance to live their own life.
Birth control- sam thing as abortion, though I think he'd prbably be more on the side of saying it sokay
Government involvement in private life- I think he'd want the gov't to get the hell out of his life and stay that way, personally. Erik doens't seem liek the sort of chap who'd like red tape and agencies adn such
Gun control- hell yes. Erik would equate a gun with a dagger/sword/punjab. Then again, he'd probably mock it as being to easy.
Assisted suicide- all for it, methinks, as long as the person clearly wanted it.
Violence in video games- don't think he'd care about the violence. He'd probably say people see just as much violence in reality as in video games these days.
Gay marriage- I don't think he'd give a rats a**, frankly. I think he'd personally be against it, but would probably think the government (we're talking America) has no right to tell people who they can love and who they can't.

gay marriege: he wouldn't care, unless the Persian and raoul fell in love, then he'd say "Yes! oh yes! they'll leave then!"
Abotion: I'd have to agree with Erin *looks up*
Birth Control: not against
Government involvement in private life: dose anyone REALLY have to anser that? of course he'd be against it.
Gun Control: yup.
Assisted suicide: yup.
violence in video games: wouldn't care.

He wouldn't give two shits about anything.
Think logically!
The entire world and society shunned him, why would he care what the world is doing and what problems society is having?
He would live on blissfully unaware of what was going on around him, while still being completely informed by Daroga. biggrin
And probably laugh as we all killed ourselves over opinions.

Suggest gay marriage to Erik and I'm sure he'd have some sort of reaction. Not saying htat he'd leave the lair and go debate for his chosen side, but have opinions? heck yes!

I think the only thing that he'd really take a stance for would be the government invading the privacy of its citizens. He would take a public stand by punjabbing the dumb arse who tried to invade his lair.
Otherwise he'd be all "Idiot homo sapiens trying to get along with this system they call government." I tend to think he'd be an anarchist. No government=chaos=Erik gets to try out any new toys he created for his torture chamber, and he wouldn't be punished. mrgreen
