Milele took another deep whiff of the scent and filed it away in the back of her mind for later. Her lethargy from eating so much was quickly forgotten as she jumped up, and spun in an excited circle. Maybe she could prove her usefulness and the tribe would be more willing to accept her.
"Alright, I'll follow your lead and do what you tell me to do to help you out." Now that she knew what it was, she could clearly make out the wafting scent on the breeze. Something feral stirred inside her, rousing her instincts.

Tanda pranced in place, tail lashing back and forth like an excited serpent. Milele's words made him feel all proud and strong and his ears stood upright as he flashed her a confident grin. He'd never had anyone look to him to lead....ever! So that made him want to take care of Milele as he trotted forward.
"This way! Let's see how many are there and see if we can find one we can take down together!"

Milele wiggled her rump, anticipating the pouncing that she'd be doing.
"Alright." The midnight colored cub stayed low to the ground as they trotted through the grasses. She followed Tanda lead, sniffing every once in a while to make sure they were on the right path.
A couple of times, while following his swaying tail, she throught about nipping at it for fun, but she kept berating herself to be serious and to stay focused on the hunt.
This was a lot of fun. The adrenaline was flowing and the excitement was building the closer they got to their prey.

He was totally focused on the hunt , his nose practically leading him to the small herd of grazing antelope. Staying low on his belly, his nose barely disturbing the tall pampas grass, a small grin crossed his muzzle.
"We're in luck. It looks like their buck isn't nearby and there's a young antelope right there, over by the tall patch of grass near the stream. We can circle around and catch it by surprise!"

Doing exactly as he was doing, like a youngling following her older brother, she stayed low just like he did so she wouldn't accidentally startle the herd.
"How do you want to do this," she whispered. If you want, I can circle around and lead the young one right towards you, seperating it from the others." She wasn't sure where this inspiration had come from, but it just seemed logical since he was faster and stronger than her.
