I'm into both. But it has to be really, really well written fantasy, and really, really well-written sci-fi.
And you have to admit, there's been a serious lack of fantasy television and movies over the years until recently.

V has the series on DVD. xd

Everyone needs to read Frank Herbert's Dune. Fight through the first 40 pages. It's worth it.
Terry Brooks' The Sword of Shannara, the Elfstones of Shannara, and the Wishsong of Shannara are excellent.
I, Strahd is good fantasy horror.
