Irwin walks back to Dora and leans against her, almost causing the red-haird girl to fall over. She giggles and kneels down on the sand, wrapping her arms around him.
"I can't believe how big you've gotten... It wasn't all that long ago that you were just a little, squirmy pebble."
The Skull Monkey swats at her with a large paw. "Don't get all mushy, Mum."
Dora dodges his blow and laughs some more.

Aiden grinned at his cousin Remy, pausing in his splashing to listen to Jamie's announcement. "Shell collecting!" he yelled eagerly. "Cousin Remy! Let's be on a team. Betcha we can beat everyone else!" Aiden, though he had not known Remy for long, had surmised from what he knew of the adult male that he was the type that couldn't resist a challenge. . . or beating someone else to prove his supremacy.

Remy snorted, puffing out his chest as he dog-paddled in the shallow water. "Shell collecting? Hah! Aiden, we'll spread the competition out so thin that they'll be BEGGING for us to keep going, just so they can hack off our techniques on EBay!" With that, the older SM swam to shore, shaking off the seawater like a common beast. Then, he stuck his face to the ground - literally TO the GROUND, i'm not talking a few inches away xd - and began sniffing through the sand.

Aiden grinned, amused to find that he had judged his cousin's character so well, and then paddled after him, arriving at the shore just after Remy did. Pressing his own nose to the ground (not quite as close as Remy did, though), Aiden searched the beach, hoping that he would find something worth keeping for their collection.
Then, his nose hit something. After he had uprooted it with his brown paws (which were now covered with equally brown wet sand), Aiden took a look at it. Just a plain ol' shell. Outside, it was plain. He flipped it over, and. . .
Woah! It was all shiney and pretty! It was one of the most beautiful shells that he had ever seen! When he ran a paw across the surface, he found it to be smooth and polished. He would definately have to keep this one! The swirling designs were amazing!

Remy seemed to strut as he walked, until his paws hit something hard... And it made him topple over, for he was going at such a rate that he had the momentum bla bla bla. Anyways. He pulled himself up, then began kicking at the object, trying his best to uproot it. It seemed it wouldn't come out, though.
"Rargh............ Aid, this one doesn't look shellish." Blinking, Remy bent down, getting eye-level with the object.

Aiden, hurrying over to Remy after closing his jaws around his shell, eyed the object curiously as he approached it. "Arh unnno wha issss," he managed to say, attempting to form words while the shell was still in his mouth.
Spitting it out, he tried again.
"I dunno what it is, Remy. I don't think it's a shell. Wanna see if we can dig it out?"

Irwin rocks from side to side annoyedly as he watches some of the other Skull Monkeys who have already begun collecting shells. He whines and looks up at Dora.
"Mum, can I go look for shells now?"
Dora shrugs. "The others seem to have started, I don't see why you can't."

Chiyo had stayed low for a bit, watching the others silently. It looked at is they were already hunting for shells! Perhaps she should go ahead, as well...
She looked to Toulouze and cocked her head in question. Was it okay to come out yet?

Irwin sighs heavily and flops down onto his side in the sand. Dora frowns down at him.
"What's wrong? Don't you want to go shell-hunting anymore?"
The Skull Monkey's tail twitches irritatedly. "I need a team, Mum."
Dora crosses her arms and smirks. "You know, I'd still be on your team, if you wanted."
Irwin lifts his head to look at her. "Really? Well... I suppose it wouldn't be that bad. Just so long as you don't tell anyone that you're my mum."
She laughs. "Your secret's safe with me."
