Wow, You are very lucky to be going to Alaska. I've been told it is beautiful up there and these pictures confirm it.

i have a friend who is up there now. so i'm really interested in seeing it for myself. the pictures that fallenshadows took are really good! you should enter a contest or something. because of your pictures, i want to go visit alaska even more!
oya, how much did the cruise cost you? seriously...

Plus, the skiing is some of the top in the country.

My sister was stationed in Fairbanks and we spent a month up there and did the whole touristy thing. Amazing scenery, saw the tundra and did the 400 mile round trip to the Arctic Circle. Went down to the peninsula and watched the tides come in (25 ft rise in like 30 minutes. WOW!) Panned for gold in North Pole and spent an amazing hour in awe watching the northern lights over Mt McKinley from my sister's back porch. My mom got some amazing pictures but this was before we had digital so no I can't share sorry. Love that state in the summer and want to go back some time. Being a Florida I can't see myself doing winter, but August again, heck yeah!

If you were asking me (I knwo this is an old post) I wasnt on a cruise. I worked up their in the "outback" for two years.
