When they put my hair in ringlets when I was five, they twisted it aorund some stuff that looked like worms and then left it like that for like, two days or something. ^_^; then they used a ton of product in my hair.
Maybe if you tried some products to keep your hair curly and not frizzy that would work *shrugs*

The bendy foam curlers! I used those for prom and homecoming a few times. The problem with those is that you can't get the curl to start at the roots, unfortunately which means, when you have long hair, that the curl comes out faster.
When I did it for prom, though, I just doused that sucker with lots of Finesse hairspray before I pulled them out [gently sort of "unraveled" them] and more hairspray after they were loose. They held fairly well for most of the night. They started to get loose around oneish but were still curled when I went to bed at four. :3
