it's a machine, supposed to be that way. Besides, it's a W.I.P, I'm not done with him yet.

Ok... The textures should be made a higher quality (if your software will handle) and the previous guy is right in one way. Either you need more poligons to tie the texture in with the model, or you need to re-think your textures entirely to tie in with the poligons you have.

It's a very well designed model tho ^_^

Well, polygons weren't the goal. The goal was to improve the model's mechanics: he is fully posable now, a great feat. All of that code and mechanical design for the model is not seen in the final product. As for texture- The prog I use is quirky when it comes to using bitmap skins, I'm working to get the kinks out. This design is more like a character you see in-game.

Yeah, that's what I thought... looked too ingamish with a bit more power then most gaming engins will handle, which tells you that its pre-rendered.
Thats why I suggested more poligons in or higher detailed textures...
I'll have a look at it again l8r and see if there's any other design suggestions I can make.

ps. I've studdied graphic design if that makes you a little more confident in my advice

pps. ( xp ) just trying to help

what program do you use to do cgi with? I've always wanted to learn how to do it.

Perhaps adding bump map (I don't see one applied here, or maybe it isn't noticeable enough) might do it some good, but I see that you aren't trying to for a high-res/poly-count model, so I guess that would be optional.
