((from the front the plain trip wires would look like this,
TREE______TREE The other trip wire traps would look the same but would trap you against one of the two trees.
as for the pits, see I pulled up a thin round shaped peace of grass and dug a hole under it, then recovered it with the grass, using wire to suport the grass and make it look more natural.))

((Maa, I’ll try and make due with that, but it seems like there isn’t much of a distraction for Iruka to notice and actually stop to take a gander at what’s around the place.))
~
Continuing on, Iruka began to notice that the number of trees was starting to dwindle, probably due to the fact that the closer one got to Wind, the less ground water there would be, hence the declining of the trees. Iruka tried to get calm, he had only been this far from Leaf as a Genin, and he supposed being an Academy teacher had dulled his skills and nerves somewhat. Now was a good a time as any to sharpen them.
“Now you really need to keep a close eye on where you step, over cover – obviously isn’t so great here.” Iruka murmured to his group, more to steady his nerves than to let them know. Outwardly, his appearance and demeanor were calm and confident, only his mind was racing at all the possible traps to fall into.
And there it was. Iruka’s dark eyes narrowed, before them was a simple wire trap between two trees. Ninjas, or border patrol were going to be present, either way both were going to be bad news. More than likely, there were going to be more traps like that one, but at the moment, he couldn’t spot them.
“Wire trap up ahead, avoid it and the trees.” Iruka whispered, not knowing how close or how far the enemy was, he couldn’t sense anything at that time. But leaving a trap as simple as that unattended wasn’t going to be the case. The trap setters were going to be near. He just prayed they weren’t going to be alerted to his group’s presence.

Eyes still scanning, Eden carefully avoided the trap and eyed the ground, looking for traps. If there were any, pure luck had kept any of them from falling into a pit or falling for a wire trap. They looked to be fairly well hidden, so the people setting them were probably Chuunin, maybe even Jounin.

Jace also scanning carefully but he wasn’t as cleaver as Eden or Iruka so one more the one occasion he very closely almost sets of a few traps. 'Jace you know your better then this... why cant you see the wires...' Walking very carefully avoiding the wires... good thing he was trailing behind eden although he figured this wasn’t going to end well. ((I dont mind him falling in a pit... whats at the bottem though?))

((Nothing. I meant for them to catch you guys in a battle, to hinder your fighting abilities, rather than to stop your progress. So really, they're just an annoyance right now.))

“Something’s wrong.” Iruka muttered when he noticed that aside from the first wire trap that he just discovered, they weren’t many more placed in their immediate path. He glanced up and ahead to see if there was any other danger, but from what he could see, there was nothing. The last of the trees were finally gone and all there was left was the patches of grass that were slowly turning into Sand, a warning that they were soon going to be beyond the point of cover.
“There has to be someone out there… otherwise it would take days to get here and by then whatever was trapped would be dead or of no further use…” Iruka whispered to himself. His dark eyes narrowed and he took a another cautious step forward, then one after another, a kunai firmly in his hand, but still hidden by his glove.
He didn’t like this situation at all.

((Maa, I’m just waiting for the Sand nins to attack, cuz I really can’t do anything. You’re all hidden and Iruka can’t see you. ^^;; ))

“Mother! I don’t want to leave!” Retorted a young boy as he followed said mother through the household. The older woman laughed and quickly tied back her long brown hair into a quick and sloppy braid. Once done, she turned to her son and lifted the boy into her arms, despite him being half her size.
“You know your aunt has been dying to see you, Moscow.” She replied, leaning her forehead against her son’s. Moscow made a face and placed his tan hands on his mother’s shoulders, pushing away slightly so he wasn’t cross-eyed speaking to her.
“Then let her, I need to stay here and look out for you, mother.” He whispered, a frown forming on his small face. She wouldn’t admit it to him, but he saw it. His mother wasn’t always this pale, and her singing voice was losing its power and soothing grace, and she didn’t dance around the house as much as before.
His mother smiled, “Moscow, I’m fine, I’ll survive a few weeks without you, my son.” She whispered back, a calming and pretty smile on her lips. Defeated and not willingly to really go against his mother’s wishes, Moscow relented and nodded his head in agreement. Happy once again, his mother set him on the floor and continued to pack his necessaries.
“Make sure to write when you can.” She called from his bedroom, Moscow nodded absent-mindedly to no one, since he remained rooted to the living room floor. He really didn’t want to leave, but if it was to make his mother happy, so be it.
“I live because of my mother, and I serve only her.” He murmured into the empty room, turning his head up to look out one of the windows when he heard people passing by. A scowl covered his features and he clenched his fist. His mother’s audience was here for another show, and they didn’t even bother to read the sign on the doorway that stated clearly she was sick.
“Bastards.” He growled, only to shush himself when his mother came back out of the room. He watched as her face dropped at the sound of people outside their home, but smiled anyway when she returned her attention to him. He carefully took the bag of belongings from her slim and tender hands, kissing her on the cheek as she bent down.
“I’ll get rid of them, mother.” He whispered to her. His only response was a nod followed by a tired sigh that only fueled his frustration at the people that crowded outside his door. He was going to show them what an eleven-year-old Chuunin could do. Storming from the living room as his mother retired to her bedroom, Moscow appeared at the doorway, sand violently reacting to his flare of chakra.
“Leave, she isn’t feeling well and won’t perform for the next month.” More, maybe, than what she needed, but he was pissed and was damned if he was going to let them ruin his mother’s recovery. The crowd murmured about the rudeness of the boy, but left in a hurry after seeing the sand crack and spark angrily by the boy’s feet.
Satisfied that they wouldn’t bother his mother anymore, Moscow slung his bag over his wiry frame and brushed his hand against his nose with a smirk. A breeze fluttered past, tangling his blonde hair even more as he set out from Sand to visit his aunt in Leaf. What a hell of a journey.

Something didn’t feel right anymore. The closer Iruka got to the edge, the more he felt the presence of human chakra. Nothing like what the trees or animals give off, stronger and much more dangerous. Clearing his throat, Iruka turned to his group.
“Make a run for it, we’ll have to blow through this thing. I can’t sense anything else that can help me with this situation. Now run!” Iruka hissed, turning back around and making a dash for the border, the trees now were completely gone, they had nothing for cover and were very much at risk now until the passed.
And that’s when he saw it, the trap right smack dab in front of him, but he was too close and too heavy to shift his weight around and avoid it. So, he hit it, and felt the pain of the rough ninja wire wrap around his leg and set off other traps with an eerie twang. Wide brown eyes looked up, “Jace, Eden! Look out!”

Eden nodded and started running, and was nearly on top of Iruka when the trap was set off. She managed to dodge the wire that Iruka had hit, but had to work fast to avoid the other traps.
