Here's what i say: Play through the main storyline with the GCN game. Then, *if you can* borrow one of your friends game that's for PS2 and play the extras on it.

Or you could just get the GCN verision. The extras aren't worth $20 anyway.

Just and update: I'm playing my friend's version of RE4 fo gamecube. And I realize...I suck. xp

So most people are saying PS2 then? Mmkay...just curious, but does anyone know the time span for when a price for a game goes down?
I think it depends on the popularity of the game. It also depends on how much you want to to go down. You could always get a used version, though.

i've heard about the extras for the ps2 version. they sound pretty good, but i had the gc version anyways. i don't regret buying the gc version because i find the controls easy to handle with the gc controller. not so sure how they would work on the ps2 controller. sweatdrop

here's a review about the ps2 version. on the 1st page the person tells the differences between the gc and ps2 version, so this may help you decide. 3nodding

I didn't know about the extras in the PS2 version. Good thing I play it on PS2. >_>;;

Yeah, I haven't beaten it yet, but now that I'm on vacation I have all the time in the world. @__@;;

Well, I have the PS2 one... there's extras as the Raccoon Police Department outfit for Leon, Ada's game, a harder level of difficulty... weapons etc.
I don't know the Gamecube version so I really can't compare sweatdrop

that's what I'm doing right now, but my skill level is really low...I can't get through anything without my typewriter. I've gotten far enough to realize that.

I also recently found a place that sells it for $33.95, which is a hell lot cheaper than the price at Target. So now what? sweatdrop

PS: Thanks for all the replies everyone!
