I thought I'd go with the suggested question. This is a very long post so... feel free to read the parts that interest you LOL
Who are you? I am a 25 years old woman living in Canada. I live in the french section of the country but I can say I'm quite comfortable with english. My name, as you will notice, is quite french: Marie-Claude. Doesn't mean anything special. I heard once that it meant cursed water princess or something like that LOL.
Where did you grow up, if you grew up? I grew up in a city called Drummondville, where the famous "poutine" recipe was invented (for those who dont know what poutine is, it's a sort of mix of fries, gravy and chewy cheese). It might sound disgusting BUT it isn't when it is made right (and believe me, I've seen bad lol). There's a restaurant in my hometown where they make the best that I know of.
What do you do for a living? Right now, I am still in University, completing my degree in "Computation Arts". I have one year left and then I am FINALLY off in the real world (does it show that I am really tired of being in school? I want a life lol)
Are you married? Dating? Swingle? I am not married and it is not something most of the people go through in -this- part of Canada. I heard the french culture (in this province) had suffered a lot from the abuse of religion on the society so a lot of people turned from it. I have grown in an environment where I was taught to believe in myself and what ever I wanted. I never felt the need to get married... so we will see what will happen. Oh! And yes I have a boyfriend/partner. We've been together for 3 years... almost forgot to talk about him XD
Do you have kids? Want kids? Afraid of kids? Still a kid (at heart)? I do not have kids and I dont think about that right now. I am trying to finish my studies so... one thing at a time. I dont think I want kids... for personal reasons. Some people say that woman change their minds (personally, I dont think telling me this is really gonna help me since I'm hard headed LOL)
Some people treat their pets like kids. Are these your kids? Oh you know... I would just looove to have a dog again. I used to have one when I was living with my parents but ... she passed away a few years back. Right now I live in an appartment so there is no way I can have a dog (the noise that this animal would generate would probably earn me my landlord's boot in the a** lol). So when I'm done with school (a year from now)... if I can find a place where I can have a dog.... I will. So if anyone wants to give me a baby dog in a year, i'd be forever greatful.
Some people have a life OUTSIDE of gaia. Seriously. Ive heard that some people DO things. What kind of things do you do with your free time? LOL... I do a lot of art, in all different forms. I like working with my hands (now dont think dirty): sculpting, painting, drawing, computer art, you name it. I still have to try pottery. I like doing yoga (just started... god it's hard and I hurt all over LOL), tai chi (also beginner). Then I like to cook even if I think I'm just HORRIBLE at it. I try different recipes, hoping it's not gonna turn out bad. Eh, you're talking about the girrl that can burn water (tseriously, dont ask how I did that) LOL.
Did we miss something? Is there just anything else you wanna tell us? Go ahead and say whatever else you would like us to know. Well I think i,ve said ENOUGH dont you guys think? I'm just so excited to be part of this guild (finally, talking with people over 18 years old). It's not that I dont like to talk with people younger than me.. it's just that I can't necessarrily talk about what I love... you know... like wine, housing problems, job seeking, frustrations of the adult life.
Well that it. Again.. soorry for the long post o_o I have a big mouth.

faolan Computer Arts? Like, graphic design sorts of things? Or am I way off? Anyway, welcome! Basically it is making art using a computer. THere are many ways I am experimenting in school: 3D softwares, flash animation/websites, Java (this one I haven't touched yet) THe program was once called "Digital images and Sounds", but they now changed it to Computation Arts. Some students really dont like the change as they think it sounds like we are making art with a calculator LOL

I want to go to your school. xd Except for the Java thing. Java's my archnemesis. So... you're using Macs, I'll assume? Oh, and I remember making very wild graphs on my graphing calculator... so it can be done! lol

I'M not used to work with a Mac... it kind of scares me lol. As for Java. It's only an introduction and we use a program that is artist friendly lol. I heard it's the basic. Enough for the artists to work freely.
