SinfulGuillotine Babbalui No. The internet is the culprit. sweatdrop Ah. Hadn't yet discovered how to delete your internet history? Quote: I was never caught doing... ummm... that thing... neutral Masturbation. It's not a sin to say the word, y'know. I know how to delete history, I just forgot once I guess. dramallama Also, I know I can say it, but I choose not to. I just don't like the word. sweatdrop

Well, speaking from another person who struggles with it... Alot of why it's bad is because it creates a false intimacy with someone who isn't real, isn't truly yours, or you're just not plain in love with.
I mean, I've seen some absolutely beautiful women when I've looked at that stuff, but you know they've been airbrushed and modified to look tantalizing for anyone who looks at them. Furthermore, all they are are pictures of someone who really wants nothing to do with you except take your monthly subscription and leave.
Pornography models do not care about you. They just want you to pay for your few minutes of viewing and leave. That's all.

7 deadly sins: lust, pride, envy, gluttony, greed, wrath, and sloth. When you watch porn, you're lusting. God wants love, not lust.

the seven deadly sins aren't actually in the bible like that are they? isn't that movie thing? ..beside the point.
Pray. And there's an awesome mag for Teens/College kids Called
Campus Life's Ignite Your Faith
and it deals with issues like that, as well as your run of the mill stuff. And it is disgusting. I dont get porn, and to put it in nice terms, I dont get playing with yourself. I just don't. For one thing, Sex is to be a pure and beautiful thing between married people. Porn isn't like that at all. It's not even close, so you're looking at a debauchery of what sex should be.
Then again, it's lusting. You are deliberatly causing yourself to lust. Which is a sin. I've never thought abuot porn till now, because I decided to try and answer your question. It is lust. and it twists and perverts everything that sex is supposed to be.

Porn causes a person to lust after things that aren't real. It makes the real thing-the special act between a husband and a wife cheap and meaningless.

Sex is supposed to be a holy and pure act - the uniting of two souls in love. Sexual pleasure is not wrong - God created it. It's a wonderful thing. However, it's supposed to be enjoyed with someone you care about and appreciate beyond their body. The act of watching porn is just a way people try to fill an empty space inside, but it's never satisfying enough. The only way to fill that hole is to have a loving relationship with God and your partner.

The lust involved is sinful. Also God tells us to control those urges. You can do all the satisfying you want in marriage

Basically it's full of lust. Which is a sin, to baptists, catholics, etc. Every Christian rules have no use of lust and self vanity.

My Opinion: God made sex for two things: one, to create children; and two, to strengthen the bond between parents so that they can properly raise those children. Porn doesn't make sex out to be for either of these things. It makes it into something of a casual recreation you can do with whoever, whenever. It encourages adultery.
Also, Jesus said, when he was correcting the laws of the profets, that not only should you not commit adultery, but if any man looks at a woman with lust (this is just how they talked back then, genders don't really matter) he has commited adultery with her in his heart. And the heart is what god sees, so fantasizing about having sex with someone is, in god's eyes, just as bad as actually doing it. That was not a direct quote by the way.
