there is 27 true rune they would not put each of these rune in each game you know..
beside in suikoden 3 there is more htan just 3 rune
there is 5 actually
you forget that the true earth rune and true wing rune is there to sweatdrop

Soul Eater
The Gate Runes
The Star Dragon Sword
The Blue Moon Rune
The Rune of Beggining and End
The True Fire, Water, Ligthing, Wind, Earth Rune
Uhh... hmm... I am just trying to figure out which ones were introduced in the first three. But the Sword and the Shield rune in the second one is only half of the True rune right? The same with Leknat's and Windy's Gate rune?
Was Barbossas' a True rune too?

In one of the forums here, one of the people declared barbarossa's rune a true rune. So I guess it is. My friends and I get to discuss this too. We have doubts Jeanne carries a true rune. Like, she hasn't aged since Suikoden 1, and she easily joins the army.
So that makes: S1 Soul Eater, Gate, and Barbarossa's rune S2 Beggining, and Luca's Beast S3 the 5 elements plus maybe... Jeane's rune... 11 True runes.... Oh! Yuber's rune! That makes 12. Though I could be wrong.... sweatdrop

the thing with Jeanne, I think she is part of some sorta clan that deals with runes and their magic. And any female who has the highest potential of the clan becomes "Jeanne" and thus she always looks hot and is in her mid 20's. But that is just my theory.
I also have another one where she is like Luc and Sasari, and she was born from a rune or something like that :shurgs:
If Yuber has one does Pesmerga have one too? His life's purpose is to find and kill Yuber, so you kinda need to live for a long time to do that.

Kruetz Well I was kind of curious cause I never got all 108 stars in Suikoden 1 because after I beat it first time he walked off and I let a friend borrow it anmd it got scratched badly so I couldnt get the best ending. I was just kinda curious though cause it seemed to have dissappeared. If I was an evil dude I'd be after that rune but oh well. Also I got like over 90+ stars now and I cant get anyone else by scouting for them in Suikoden 3 because there is no one else to scout for. Are the rest of the people auto joins? I can't seem to beat the water dragon either. I have Geddoe, Edge, Futch, Bright, Shiba, and Landis all 50+ in my party. Any battle stradegy suggestions? How does that work? Either Chris is the FC or something else right? Cause Hugo was the one who battled the water dragon with me... I think you'e best bet is to pull Edge, Shiba and Landis, Put either Salome or Srg. Joe in (or both) and then Ace or Queen and a tank (Poor Leo can't be chosen.) This way if you put a firefly rune on the tank, you'll be unstoppable cause its attacks are annoying but not powerful really...

Was Neclord's Vampire Rune a true one?
And just for reference, Barbarosa's rune was called the Soverign Rune.

FNCardascia Was Neclord's Vampire Rune a true one? And just for reference, Barbarosa's rune was called the Soverign Rune. Neclord's rune is actually Sierra's Blue Moon Rune. What it does it keeps the Vampires thirst for blood at bay, and it also created the very first vampire which is Sierra.

Your also forgot one of the most inportant characters in the frist game. The Leader of the Dragon Knights, He has the True Dragon Rune.

I think Konami stated that Jeane does not have a True Rune.
