Apeiron King of Light ryobakura Crono Leonhart So yeah, Just to clarify, I checked packs of cards at work out of a box, and the codes on the back are all the same 3nodding so there will NEVER be a formula for this... neutral Supprisingly, my theory works, but you don't need to bend it TOO much, just to test it... Rare cards are normally kind of bent any-who. er...theory? this had been proven since metal raiders had been out... I've only known that since Magic Rulers. But, some stores have the packs in plastic cases, so you can't bend them and they have something blocking the back of the packs, so you can't see the code either.

Well, then I think its worthless to buy YGO cards anymore! If the card packs code is the same then why buy it? Sure you might get 2 new cards out of the 7 you already had. Now I see why people just buy single cards. They want them then and there. Not buying Boxes and Boxes of cards. Sheesh.

Wait a sec. Does anyone pay attention to the bolded numbers below the Bar Code they scan? How about the ratio?

I just buy 1 box of OCG... the rest I buy are singles... reason is because I just want something to mess around with, like commons and rares ect... and hope I get a nice ultra and super in the deal wink

I'm pretty sure they're all the same...I mean, if they use that bar code number to ring up a price at certain stores, they'd need them all to be the same. Otherwise, when they bought a new box of cards, they'd need to add in 24 new codes into the system. But yeah...I'm always tempted to buy cards from every set...i dont know why, I just wanna get the wrapers to add to my collection xd

I actually saw this guy once cover this box with wrappers from like every set... it looked kind of cool and I wanted to do that kind of... oh well, I'll stick to collecting boxes (I got atleast SOI and EOJ right beside me sweatdrop ...I dunno if I wanna cut them up since they look so nice ^^)

That would ruin them. I have at least one wrapper from every single set that is out where I live (that's up to SOI).

from working at a comic book shop I have found a way to get the foil rares and foil commons. since my boss opens packs to get singles to sell, we have found that the packs with foil cards weigh more that those with out, since the foil card has a extra layer of material on it, it makes the pack heavier(sp). so when he gets new boxes of yugioh, we sometimes weigh the packs in some boxes in order to get the super rares to sell individual.

But now that there are ultimate rare cards, it sort of throws off stuff...I suppose thats why they made 'Ultimate Rares' In fact, I dont even like the idea of ultimate rares stressed

That's not always true. They randomized the thickness of the ultimate rare cards in several sets. In FET ULT rares are heavier than rare cards (making them harder to distinguish between a super-rare and an ULT version of a rare card), while in SOI and CRV they made the ULT rares weigh a lot less (made it so much easier to weigh them out, however it's always a gamble.
As for scaling, it does work, but you have to have a base to read off of (it makes it easier to spot the heavier packs), and NEVER EVER scale blister packs (the ones with the cardboard backs) because they throw off the weight so much, it almost never works.

It seems like a better way of telling. xp
