[cameo in Kitsu thread: page 3977 ] Meeting an old friend Page 2298Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf The blue tartaned fae fluttered into the shop. It was almost a habit, even if it was one he was falling out of lately. Still he knew he should not limit his socializing to his beloved, no matter how tempting.
Besides... by now his hammock would need dusting. Aiden chuckled softly to himself at that thought. Dragoil Nipkish caught the movement out of the corner of her eye, a flutter, her face slowly lit up as she recognized the fluttering blue form.
"Aiden?" she said "Is that you?" she stood up and smiled.. it had be ever so long since she last saw him. Dragoil More action in a corner of the shop caught Nipkishes atention, while she waited for her old friend to reply.. or notice her she glanced over two see two audios doing a strange dance in anoyther corner, a black and white striped female was circling a winged male and as she watched he flew up and said something in an iritated voice.
If Aiden was to buzy at that moment she might go see what was going on... Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf The highlander blinked at hearing his name. The voice sounded slightly familiar, but like one almost forgotten. Perhaps in a dream. He looked around slowly, looking for the source of the call. He spied the female smiling at him & smiled back even as he tried to place her. Her markings were somewhat familiar too, but not from a dream. A memory. "Aye. I am Aiden."
Golden eyes lit up with realization. A real smile replaced the automatic one and the fae landed to stride over to her. "Nipkish-lass? Is that ye? I've nae seen ye since ye was a pup!" He looked her up and down gently, simply noting the changes. "Ye've grown up lovely, lass." Dragoil She smiled as her old friend slowly recognized her " Yes its me Aiden, how have you been? I know, its been way to long. I still remeber our flight." She smiled at his comment " Thankyou, your just as I remeber you." Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Reaching her side he gave Nipkish a friendly hug. "Tha' was the first time I'd e'er taken someone in flight... I'm glad ye enjoyed it." He smiled fondly at the memory, trying to forget how he had accidentally called her "laddie" instead of "lassie" their first meeting. "I've been well, lass. Thank ye fer asking." Aiden sighed happily. "Better than I could o' dreamed possible."
"An' ye Nipkish-lass? Have ye been well? I've nae seen ye around... or is i' just because I've happened te miss ye stopping in?" His interest was keen honest & that of an old friend who has never forgotten. Dragoil Nipkish huged him back her smile never wavering as she heard how her friend had been fairing " Hehe, yes that first flight has always stayed in my memories. Its good to hear your doing well, better than your could dream possible?"
" I'v been alright, a bit lonely maybe. I haven't been back much, I did come back once a few months ago and met a few nice Audios. There was one.. now what was her name.. she was a lovely firework patterned one, she realy helped give me some names of the newer memebers, helped me feel less of an outsider." she taped her crimson finger to her nose "She was one of those Audios you could realy like. I'm just bad with names sweatdrop " Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Aiden's eyes lit up. "There's only one firework lass, an' tha's my beloved Lainey." Taking Nipkish's elbow gently he steered her to a couch to sit down. "I'm a bit biased on both her loveliness an' her kindness." There was a decidedly odd twinkle in the highlander's eyes. "Ye couldnae have met a sweeter lass, Nipkish." Dragoil Nipkish's eyes flew wide "Thats her name! Lainey!" she sat next to him on the couch "Beloved? Oh my goodness" her hands flew to her mouth "I don't think she had met you when I first met her, I asked if anyone had seen you and she didn't say anything, that means since I'v been gone you and her.. wow! " She giggled "You two are both very lucky. Knowing you both I can see why you two would get along. Congratulations! It couldent happen to a better pair of audios." she reached over and squeezed his hand, truly happy to see two Audio friends of hers get together.
" Tell me, did you give her a flight too? I could see her realy loving that." Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf He simply sat & smiled, listening to his old friend talk. It was so nice to hear her voice again. He nodded a thank you, the thanks reflected in his eyes at her compliment to both he & Lainey. However when she mentioned flying with Lainey a slight hint of pink colored the tartan print of his cheeks. "Aye. I did give her a flight. T'was only th' second one outside th' family I'd given; ye being th' first." Leaning his head back Aiden closed his eyes gently, remembering. "She so wanted to fly, & I wanted te do something te make her happy. I dinnae think much about it at the time. I wasnae courting her... we'd only just met. But it was still a joy to see her reactions as we flew." His eyes fluttered back open. He was smiling softly. "It still is."
"She saved me from my new sisters playing matchmaker. Te this day, I dinnae ken exactly how it happened -it happened so fast..." Dragoil She sat watching him, a her chin balanced on a palm as she listened to him. "Now that is a sweet story. Some how I couldent see you finding a girl and not taking her on a flight" she winked "I don't have siblings so I wouldent know about the matchmaker bit but it sounds like a close thing. These things always seam fast."
" Well I'm realy glad." she giggled and sat up strait slaping both hands down to cup her knees "Befor I called you over what were you about to do? I wasn't sure if you were going to stop, you seamed distracted. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Aiden's blush deepened slightly but he seemed inordinately pleased. "T'is two stories, truth be told. T'was nae til I flew Lainey a second time tha' I even thought o' more than friendship."
The highlander smiled at Nipkish. "Oh, nae much. I've spent much time here, or I did a'fore meeting Lainey, and oft t'would be tha' no one was about so I think o' things te keep me occupied while I'm 'ere." He winked, slightly sheepish. "I've a hammock, there in th' rafters te watch from if I like. I was thinking o' taking it out & dusting it off if there had been no one te socialize with." He smiled kindly. "Bu' since yer here, t'is unneeded fer me te do so. A' least, nae yet." Dragoil Nipkish nodded "I can see how that would go, second flight you get closer.. and closer still.. I know a few pets who met there mates like that..." she had a bit of a whistful look in her eyes for a moment as her sentance trailed off. She snaped back though, the smile returning as her continued.
"A hammock in teh rafters eh? to bad its so hi, I intend to stick around for a while but I can't reach it up there. I don't have one myself." she looked up at the spot. "Mind you as long as I have someone around maybe I don't need one either." she laughed a bit and reclined on the couch, her eyes roving abit around the room.
"Not many audios in tonight." she commented before returning her attention to Aiden. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf "I dinnae ken if t'was th' flight, but perhaps i' helped." Aiden spoke in his usual soft way, as was his style. His yellow eyes studied his friend, and he thought he understood her wistfulness -however quickly Nipkish had tried to cover it up. It was a feeling Aiden had carried a long time himself before finding Lainey.
He would comment on that later. He nodded absently. "T'is a nice thing te have when I get away from th' family fer a bit, or if I dinnae wish te be social bu' te watch a bit." Funny how being with Lainey seemed to have made it a bit easier for Aiden to talk to others. "Some nights are like this. Others... well, there've been times ye'd think ye wouldnae be able te walk thru th' place wit' all the audios here."
Only then did the highlander place a reassuring hand on Nipkish's. "Dinnae fret, lass. Ye'll find yers." A knowing gaze in his yellow eyes was meant to leave little room as to what he implied: someone specific for her. "Ye'll find it when yer not looking, more than likely."

T'was a bonny delight te see th' lassie Nipkish again after so very long. I dinnae ken why t'is been so long, bu' i't'was ... seems only th' other day she was a pup... I shouldnae be surprised tha' she had grown, when pups tha' arrived after her are full in their maturity.
Surprisingly, she ken my bonny Lainey love. Nae long they met afore I met my love, I figure. I't'warms my heart tha' Nipkish thinks well o' my bonny love.
I can see though tha' th' lass longs fer a love of her own. My heart goes out te her & I wish her th' best in finding th' one fer her. She deserves te' have her own happiness.

Chat Between Lovers Page 2670((Others in room: Keme, Relm, Jou, Diz, Pip on ground. Morgana, Saige, Dark Schneider in rafters. Suiseiseki goes from floor to rafters at some point, and Gojyo enters towards the end as Keme & Relm leave.)) RavenFyre Lainey: *she sighed tiredly to herself, not counting the always increasing amount of beta that there was at home she had no family members to deal with. A blonde and brunet that seemed to already know each other... and hate each others guts. The blond, named Jou, woke her up with a start this morning, practically tearing the house down in search of the brunet named Kaiba. Apparently Kaiba had played a practical joke on Jou and now the sunny blond audio wanted payback. 'They're so loud!' was all Lainey could think to complain about. On her way to the shop she spotted Kaiba storming his way past her in the direction of the house. It appeared that Jou had found him and had his revenge. She sighed. Things were getting a little weird. First she had to deal with the anti-social, practically emo child that was Haze, and now Hitsugaya never wanted to really leave the house. The house's supply of sweets was already dangerously low because of Hunny now, and Cain was a little hornball. She was worried about Chii, still thinking of that tall, spikey haired blonde that was all but rubbing his face against Chii's chest the last time she visited the shop, and now she had those two immature boys to deal with as well. She loved her family, she did, but she could only take so much. She hoped that Aiden would be at the shop today. She really missed him* Aiden... Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Theron was finally asleep. With Trelweny off doing something for the Rainberries shop she ran, Aiden had been asked to care for the human toddler when he was available. Since the GaiaCom Myranda preferred not to watch Theron or his jivvin bond when they were awake, Aiden & the other more "responsible" family members handled his daytime care. Surprisingly, AearHwesta had proven exceptionally good with all the youngsters in the family. A very good thing, considering the influx of young kitsu that had suddenly arrived after the holidays.
He knew where his heart longed to be, and with whom. Any time between times with Lainey was too long.
The fae Highlander spotted his lady right away upon entering the shop. Walking for a change he strode purposefully towards her, golden eyes dancing lovingly over her body. "I was hoping te see ye here, my bonny lass." RavenFyre Lainey: *she groaned softly, spotting Jou and walking in an entirely different direction from him. She wasn't ready to deal with him again. She gasped, smiling brightly when she spotted Aiden, helping to close the distance between them and all but jumping into his arms* Aiden! *she nuzzled into him contently* I wanted to see you, too! So much! Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Chuckling gently Aiden held the firework female closely to him, nuzzling her & lightly kissing her cheek, forehead -anything but her lips which were far too tempting. "I ken tis nae too long since last I saw ye, Lainey-love, bu' i' always feels much longer..."
His wings fluttered as he sighed happily against her ear. "An' how've ye been, Love?" RavenFyre Lainey: *she sighed contently, mewling softly at the kisses being rained down on her* Aiden... *she hummed softly* I've been... okay... I've missed you too much, and I have had it up to here with my siblings!! The boys are anti-social, horny, or immature, or some combination of them all, and Chii is too naive to realize when someone could be trying to take advantage of her... B-but enough about them! How have you been, lover? I've missed you so. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf The highlander blushed furiously. "Been helping Trel wit' th' laddie, ye ken. He plays right well wit' th' other wee bairns, bu' he cannae be left on his own as often. An' he gets mighty discouraged when he cannae fly with th' bairns who can."
Tenderly, with a fierce passion in his eyes, Aiden ran the back of his finger down her cheek & then her neck -pausing to trace the line of her collar bone when he reached it. "As much as I love my family... I'd rather twas our family, Lainey." Golden eyes bore lovingly into her violet pools & Aiden felt himself starting to drift happily in their depths. RavenFyre Lainey: *she smiled softly at that* You're so wonderful with children, though love... I can tell. *she blushed warmly* O-our family..? I... *she couldn't hold his gaze, blushing darkly and ducking her head to hide against the crook of his neck* When should we have a family, Aiden.. I... I really want to... Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Although his ear twitched at the activity that stemmed from the kitchen, Aiden paid that & the other audios around little mind. He was not patriarchal figure here -although he was most likely the oldest audio in attendence again. He did not have to interfere. Although he would if it came to blows. Still holding Lainey tight with one arm he lightly stroked her back with the other hand, watching the play of fur from his touch. "I dinnae want te wait, Love, bu' I also do... a' least until after Saint Valentine's Day." Golden eyes glittered meaningfully. "I dinnae ken if I'll lose my wings or nae when I remove my headphones..." The highlander let the thought hang there, watching the firework female. RavenFyre Lainey: Oh..? *she smiled and leaned against her beau* And just what is so special about valentine's day, my love..? Besides the obvious, of course. *she also ignored the going-ons around her. She was tired of paying attention to other people, she just wanted to be with her love. She looked curious* Losing your wings... That would be odd... But you'd be okay without them for a while, wouldn't you? *she didn't see any problem with it really, except that it might make Aiden uncomfortable* Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf The highlander chuckled. "I'd like te do something special wit' ye, if yer amiable, bonny Lainey. An' aye, t'would be odd te' be wingless. Trel says my 'phones had them, so there's a chance, ye ken. An' in case ye be wanting te fly fer Valentine's... I'd rather wait." He kissed the rim of her ear lightly. "Bu' aye... I'd be fine wi'out them. I'd give up much more te be having a family o' our own. RavenFyre Lainey: Special..? Hmm... what is considered special? I think everything we do is pretty special. *she laughed softly, kissing Aiden's throat* You're so silly. It won't matter to me what we do as long as we are together... Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf "Truth, my bonny lass? I've nae decided. I dinnae want te plan if ye were not interested." He purred low & rumble-y as she kissed his throat. "An' aye.... everything we do is special..." It was a little difficult to keep his thoughts straight but the Highlander could not bear to put her from him. "Bu' I thought t'would be interesting te do something different."
If he could only think what that could be. RavenFyre Lainey: *she laughed softly* Silly lover, when wouldn't I want to spend time with you? Something different? *she decided she should stop the teasing now. Really, she was torturing herself just as much as she was Aiden* Hmm,... Something different for us... Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf His wings fluttered each time Lainey called him 'silly lover' & Aiden found himself surprisigly delighted by the endearment. "Rikku's lad took her to town... I ken tha' day is a favorite for such activites as dinner & dancing, bu' I'd be willing te give it a try finding a place if yer interested."
His hand still trailed lightly up and down her back, simply enjoying the curves & feel of her body. "It's just a thought..." ((continued Page 2678)) RavenFyre Lainey: *she smiled softly* You mean going on a real date? *she purred and arched lightly along his touch* Whatever you want to do is fine with me. Even if you just wanted to go to the movies, or even rent a movie to watch... ummm... somewhere... As long as I'm with you, I'm happy. *laughs sheepishly* I guess I'm not much help with planning... Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Succumbing, Aiden brushed his lips ever so lightly to hers. "Aye, my bonny lass. I dinnae need more than yer lovely company te be happy. However..." He smiled softly, a flicker of mischief in his golden eyes. "I'd like te take ye out on th' town if ye'd like. A real night on th' town, like in the old movies. Dinner, dancing... perhaps a theatre show or an opera..." He gazed with love into her eyes. "Something worthy a lady."

"Ah.. do you know where 'Ruto is?""And Keme?"Aiden: *wonders where Lainey is... worried they may be late for the reservations he set up*MoochiLove *rubs her chin* Hmmmm...well, I told them to hang around the shop, but I think Naruto went to you guys pond and Keme went to his tree! Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf The girls glance at each other, grin & dash off. "Thanks!" Relm calls back before heading out the door in her winterized gear. He had heard the muffled words of the teen, but they did not make his heart race as the sound of that beloved female. Softly he strode to her side, the cloth of the tuxedo he wore making whispering noises underneath the greatcoat Aiden had on over it. In his hand, a heart box with a white ribbon. His other hand reached into his coat to pull out a gold-colored brass rose that gave off the scent of roses from its frozen bloom. "My bonny Lainey..."
His breath caught & Aiden could say no more, handing the items to her. RavenFyre Spotting Akira, the vampire teen rushed over to his side, setting the box down next to him and nuzzling him like an overly affectionate kitten. "Happy day of lovers, love!"Lainey blushed darkly at the sight of her beau, any words she had to say catching in her throat. It took her several attempts before she could say anything, "A-aiden... y-you look... amazing!" She flushed, "Now I feel underdressed..." which was an understatement seeing as she wore no clothes at all, just a simple backpack strapped to her back. She gasped softly as she took the items, love shining clearly in her eyes, "Aiden..." She leaned up, brushing their lips together softly. "Thank you. They're beautiful... I... I got you something, too." She took his hand in her own and led him to an empty couch. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf He closed his eyes softly to the kiss, then let himself be led to a seat. Lightly he rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb. "Ye dinnae need te do tha'."
Had she forgotten their date? behind the love shining in his eys a little worry peeked through. But Trelweny was already on it, sizing up the situation. She knew where the reservations where & the place though it would let the furred pair in had a strick dress code. Her hand to her ear she spoke softly into the communicator there. "Myr... I need you to grab one of the wizards that knows how to get to the Audio Shop & aparate over here right away. You'll be needed to conjure a dress." MoochiLove Akira purrs and nuzzles Cain lovingly. Then he grabs the red flower and holds it out to him, "Happy Valentines Day Cain!!" he said, blushing deeply. RavenFyre Lainey laughed softly, "I know I didn't... you didn't either... but you wanted to... and I wanted to as well." She set the backpack down to her side, pulling out a small bag full of chocolates, "I made these today and," sifting through the backpack again she pulled out a simple home-made teddy bear was a firework designed patch sewed over the heart and a dark blue ribbon, "I made this for you, too... T-they're not exactly fancy... b-but I hope you like them. The tradition is that you make the person you love a teddy bear, and you name him or her when you tie the ribbon around their neck." It was also superstition that the bear was named after the person who made and gave the bear as a present then it was true love that the two would share between them. She had forgotten about the date, so nervous about the day itself that the special occasion had completely slipped her mind.Cain beamed bright at the rose, taking it and kissing Akira's lips lightly, "Thank you love. I got you something, too!" He nudged the box towards the other teen again, then opened it for him. Inside was a simple, but elegant black choker a blood red ruby lined with gold hanging from it. [X]Natty-Chan[X] Morty trots in from the hallway, only to see the other 'mushy' audios there. She snorted before trotting passed and into the kitchen, mewing as she looked about. MoochiLove Akira kissed Cain back, still blushing. He looked down at the box Cain opened and his eyes went wide, "Oooooo, it looks like the one mom wears!!!" he squealed and he hopped up and down, wanting Cain to put it on him. RavenFyre Cain blinked a bit in surprise, "The one your mom wears? I got it because it reminds me of your hair and eyes." He chuckled softly, grabbing the choker carefully. "Now stop bouncing so much so I can put it on you, silly." MoochiLove Akira stopped hopping and stayed still so Cain could slip it on him, wagging his tail. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf "A Lainey-bear made by my Lainey-love?" His golden eyes glimmered. "An' chocolates too? My bonny lass has been busy." Aiden deftly tied the ribbon around the bear's neck. "Now I've a little Lainey te' keep me company on nights I cannae be wit' ye. Thank ye, Lainey."There was a pop & suddenly a black skinned witch in mint and a red furred kitsu with brown & black wings appeared by magic into the shop. "Okay. What's this about a dress." Myranda looked the audio couple up and down, while Trelweny looked sheepishly from behind. Liliana just looked mildly confused. "She certainly doesn't look redy for your date, Uncle Aiden." [X]Natty-Chan[X] Not finding anything worth interest in the kitchen, the teen walked back out. Having seen her brother out there, she quickly slinked behind a couch. Once there, she crouched down to the ground, slowly starting to stalk toward the two male teens. RavenFyre Cain chuckled softly as he slipped the choker around Akira's neck, kissing the pulse point there softly, his eyes flashing briefly before he got control of himself again. "There, it's perfect. And it looks beautiful on you."Lainey flushed darker, smiling brightly that Aiden has decided to name the teddy bear after her, "Y-you really like them? I've been practicing my cooking and sewing for weeks to get your presents right!" She started in surprise when the other two suddenly appeared, looking confused, "W-what..? Dress..? Date..?" She gasped, eyes widening in horror as it hit her, "A-aiden! O-our date! Oh god! I'm so sorry! I forgot! I was so busy trying to make your gifts as best as I could! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" she looked near tears. "Y-you must think I'm the worst!" MoochiLove Akira sat up and rubbed at his choker and he purred proudly, "Thank you Cain, I love it!!" he said happily, his tail wagging. [X]Natty-Chan[X] Morticia continued to stalk closer, quickly scurrying behind a smaller seat and laying there for a moment, making sure she wasn't seen by her 'prey'. Once she was sure she wasn't spotted, she slowly started to edge her way closer to the two, her red eyes seemingly glowing a bit. Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf Quick as a wink Aiden was standing up & gathering the firework female into his arms. "Narry ye mind. Narry ye mind. I cannae e'er think so o' ye, Beloved. 'specially nae when there's not te' worry abou'. An' I really like them, Lainey. I dinnae 'cpect anything... bu' if there had been something I wanted, this'd be it." The highlander nuzzled Lainey's cheek as he held her, lightly moving his thumbs against her back as he held her. The GaiaCom rolled her eyes. "well? Are you going to tell me your preferences or would you rather me conjure my choice?" Liliana raised a brow to their human who shugged & shook her head. RavenFyre Cain nuzzled into Akira happily, "I'm glad you like it... Now... Maybe we should move before your sister attacks us?" He tilted his head to the side in amusement, peeking over at Morty.Lainey sobbed softly, but quickly wiped away any tears before they could fully form, "I... I'm so sorry... I... Our special night and I forgot all about it..!" She peeked up at him shyly, looking unsure, relaxing slowly under the feel of his caressing hands, "D-do you really mean it..?" She looked at the other two again, flushing lightly. "I... I don't know... I... I don't usually wear dresses... s-something elegant, but not overly formal... seductive, but not trashy..." A slow smirk played at her lips, "Maybe something long and clinging with a low back and a high slit?" Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf "I tol' ye narry ye mind. An' o' course she means it."Myranda's eyes twinkled as much as they could, being synthetic. "I know just the thing." Tapping a small cauldron charm on her wrist, a huge black cauldron appeared beside her. Liliana stepped back as the GaiaCom cast her pentagram "summoning circle" & watched with a studious eye. In no time at all a shimmering form materialized. As the sparkle from the magic faded there was still some shine to the simple white dress draped over a black gloved arm. Beneath it, a warm winter dress coat. With a flourish Myranda held the garment up for inspection. It looked fairly low-cut in the front, making a circle to hold the dress up around the neck. The sides tapered to the back. When on, there would be a bare spot below her neck in front, and other than the strap around her neck in back there would be no fabric until just above her posterior. And of course, as requested -a slit running the length of the right side. Aiden raised an appretiative brow. "If it's satisfactory you'd better get dressed."
