Now, before I get into this, let me explain teledildonics. The basic concept is someone giving someone on the other end some sort of sexual stimulation with a device, or some other sexual toy manipulated by the user, and it can be used across vast expanses of the internet. *in short, a remote controlled sex toy used over the net* And it has been rumored thay, in the future, the technology can recreate everything a human male, or female can do, right down to the T *this may be tied into robotics, somehow*
So, with that in mind. what do ya'll think of teledildonics?

Ive heard about ones operated by remote control, but over the net seems a little out there. I know its possible to remotely access computers and such, but the toy and the reciever would both need a connection to the medium used to transmit (in this case, the internet). It sounds like you would both need to be in a WiFi hotspot for it to work, unless of course you wanna hook the toy and the controller up to a land line phone.

... Yeah, the idea of teledildonics sort of creeps me out. The idea of not being able to directly interact with the lover with true immediate feedback just doesn't get me rolling. This is why I can't understand the concept of phone sex.
Inevitably, if this starts to become popular, there would be people with a lag fetish, too, and I never want to see lag considered a good thing. sad

Hmmm....things like this always kind of scare me. Because I've read a few places that technology is basically men trying to figure out how to make a "substitute" for women, a substitute that has all the good things of a woman, but none of the bad.
And I don't really like the idea of being replaced a'la "Stepford Wives."

My biggest problem with it is what if it gets stuck...*shuddders* and then turns on while your at work on the phone with your mom or something....

I think it could be the end of the male species, if they are soon gonna be able to recreate everything a male or female can do, then soon women will forget of us stubborn men, and use that, and since science is starting to get more in depth, they're probly end up being an entire world of women. ( That's believing that when they get that for in teledildonics, that they'll be able to also be able to fertalise a woman's eggs by then, without the use of an male, unless they do already.)
