Technically, humans CAN eat raw meat. For examples, there is steak tartar and there's an arabic dish (which I used to love) called kibbee nayee (raw ground lamb). The problem is that meat is prone to becoming infectious since even omnivorous humans don't eat the animal immediately after they kill it. Cooking is an institution that resulted from the rise of agriculture.

Cegans have way less risk for heart attack than meat eaters.
