I think people who bash on you for whatever differing opinion are just insecure about their own. My friend and I differ a lot, on our opinion of organ donation to taste in television shows (I'm a firefly fan, and she hates it because one character is pretty much a whore). She thinks that because something is popular, it isn't worth her attention. She started everyone at our school wearing those Naruto headbands, and now refuses to wear it. I think if something is good, whether popular or not, it's still cool. We still are really good friends, because we have enough other things in common. I didn't stop talking to her because she hates Firefly (we both happen to like Green Day). That is why no one can convince me Green Day sucks.

This isn't that related, but it's been bugging me. In the Green Day section for AIM icons on AOL Expressions when you click on the one of Tre` the caption says "Al Sobrante". surprised It's just been bugging me. Billie and Mikes' names are right though, but Al Sobrante? I don't think I ever even remember seeing/hearing/reading anything where he's mentioned except the fan sites that give biographies. But yeah why did I post this here? surprised

I know people like that. I also know people who litterally think they're better than you because of the music they listen to. One of my friends, Matty, she always does that. Like, what's a good example, there's a lot. Like, if you're talking about bands with her, and you say "Oh I like My Chemical Romance" or something like that she'll be like "Oh... Uhm, yeah, OK" and pretty much never talk to you again. I bet anything she hasn't even REALLY listened to them. None of them have, they hate anything that's mainstream because it's mainstream, and judge people and look down on people if they like mainstream bands. Like, there was this one girl and she did some really bitchy thing to my other friend Corey and after that Corey said "Yeah but what can you expect from someone who likes Avril Lavigne?" I mean, come the ******** on!! That's so stupid! I really wanted to hurt her. I mean, not that I like Avril or anything, but just because she said that one stupid stereotypical biggoty thing I felt like shooting her. I punched her once because she made fun of WMUWSE. I yelled at her about how she was insensitive and if she had half a brain she'd realize what a meaningful song it was. But seriously, she doesn't listen to music, she listens to lables. She likes these crazy christian bands and she is practically anti-christianity. She disagrees with all of their beliefes, and thinks they're stupid for believing it. So why does she like them? Oh yeah, because they're indie, because only she and those she deems worthy know who they are. ******** A.
OK, I'm done ranting. For now.
