Arukoru's eyes skimmed over the note pad, before he smiled and nodded his head.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Hold on a sec and I'll call home." he said as he stuck his hand inside his pocket and pulled out a black flip phone. He opened it up and hit the speed dial button for home, and held it up to his ear.
"Hey, Shelly? .. Yeah, it's Aru. Is Oliver home? ...... Sweet, tell him to meet me at the ice cream parlor near the park. I got somebody I'd like him to meet... Yeah I got enough money.. Okay, talk to you later." he then hung up and slipped it back into his pocket, before he smiled at Alida.
"Alright, he's gonna meet us at the parlor we usually go to. It'll take him about 15 minutes to get there by the bus." cool, looked like both him and Oliver would get to make a new friend.

Alida smiled, and checked her bag, which she had slung over her shoulder. She knew her wallet was in there, but she wasn't sure how much she had, and she would have to use the debit card if she didn't have enough.
She was the only one of the kids Rime had trusted with her own debit card so far. The account didn't have a lot of money in it, as it was supplimented mostly by babysittting pay, but it had enough for an occasional purchase.
She zipped the bag back up, and stood up again, readjusting the shawl on her shoulders. The sun was warm, and it would feel good to get inside the air conditioned ice cream parlor. She looked to Arukoru to lead the way, and fell into step beside him as they walked.
