And yes...I have seen a plus-sized cheerleader before....well actually a flag girl. The girl I saw was about 300lbs and doing the splits and kicks and dancing that the rest of the band/cheerleading squad was doing. At the time I was sitting beside a group of teens who thought it was funny. I had to laugh...but no offense, even though one is fat...you can be flexible at the same time. ninja sweatdrop

I can attest to the flxible thing. I am plump and freakishly flexible. My friends make fun of me because I can contort into all of these wierd positions. But my joints also hyper-extend, so that could be one of the reasons blaugh

I remember once in a school dance class we were to split up into teams and we were to make up our own routine blah blah blah and we ended up winning the mini-competition so I got like really happy and did the splits..yeah i know that sounds weird...anyway we went back into the locker room and all the girls were like astounded because I could do the splits. I was more surprised that they were surprised so I asked why they thought it was weird and they said cuz im bigger and they thought I could get hurt or something...that kinda stung but I got over it....and I just ranted.... redface sorry...

haha that sounds like fun. it'd love to see their faces. i can do the splits, and the only place i'm double jointed is in my fingers and toes. But the one time we played softball outside i hit the ball got to first, then next batter up i got to second when one of the best players on the other team was about to tag me. she got me on the way to third base, but it was only because the ball was totally aimed in my direction.
I swear it was so close i could have gotten a run! 3nodding
That's like my only shining moment.

There's an overweight girl at my school who's a troyann....Which is like a cheerleader with more acrobatic bits. >.<
I wouldn't be a cheer leader: I have no school spirit, or balance......or coordination. gonk

Want I want plus size kids doing now a days is to join more clubs... and those skinny people need to shut their mouth because plus sizers are people too!!!!! xp xp whee whee Anywho.. I was in Poms for 2 years at my HS and it wasn't mine or the other girls on the squads fault that there was these outfits that had too short of a skirt... They had the right sizes, but yet the skirts were horrendous..... it was terrible.. But yeah... now a days we still get made fun of... there were three plus size girls on the squad and like 2/3 skinny ones ((all friends)). Ah wells.. thats what I want..:

Plus size kids joining more after school activities! ^^ weeee

I want to see more Girls and Guys doing whatever they desire. Size not a factor.

I never got interested in sports/cheerleaders, but I did know the largest girl in my MS/HS. She was in the marching band.
